Highly recommend this if you're a fan of vampire the masquerade. And even if you're not you should still enjoy it. It's so very original and faithful to the setting. You can hear the Passion in the performance. The care that must have gone into the writing.
It's simply exquisite and leaves you Hungry for more.

This was... surprisingly good! I was apprehensive at the start but got into it BIG TIME. When it was mentioned that it was part of a LARP (Live action role play) community I was about to just hit stop and move on to the next thing on my wishlist. Because I imagined, this was just going to be very low budget and a bunch of people reading their lines VERY badly, with poor sound quality, along with everything else that makes an audiobook crappy! But surprise surprise. It wasn't.

Was it low budget? I believe so. The actors and writer kept asking you to send money to Patreon at the start or end of each chapter. But other than that, you couldn't tell whether it was done in a basement or a multimillion-dollar sound studio in a penthouse apt. The production and voice acting were amazing. And the soundtrack selection was the cats' ass! lol

I looked into it, and it seems like Vampire the Masquerade has quite the following and lore. You are not going to get/understand it just from this, but there is A LOT of background that is not really explained here, and that the author perhaps wrongly assumes you know. Especially when it comes to Bloodlines abilities and different Clans, and groups. But in all honesty, if you ever get confused, just make sure you pause and look up the topic that is confusing you. Somebody has written about it somewhere, trust me.

This is just not some regular 'vampire story/tale' this is just one individual story inside of the VAST 'Masquerade Universe'. And if this is your introduction to VTM(As they like to call it. lol) Then you sir/madam are very very lucky indeed! For this was VERY well done! And the perfect entryway into the VTM universe.

OH... and there is a video game out and another on its way. The game is called BLOOD HUNT and the next one is called Vampire the Masquerade part 2 ( or something) I think they made one before a long time ago, and are finally getting around to the 2nd one now, or something like that. But it is like I said, this is just not some 'vampire novel', it is a world/universe in itself.

I recommend you support these creators and support their PATREON! They DESERVE IT!

Wow!!! Just…wow!!!! Growing up with VTM I had very high expectations with this story and how it was going to be preformed!….I would say even a Ventrue would consider it well done. A Toreador would consider it PERFECTION! I can’t wait for season 2!!!!!!!

It was a very strong story with quality characters and even higher quality story. The twists and turns are strong without being outlandish, and the lore of the world was relayed in an interesting yet efficient manner! Any misgivings I have about it are only a reflection of my tastes and preferences, and have nothing to do with the quality of this production. Highly recommend!

I wish there were more World of Darkness themed podcasts that were like this one, dramatized storytelling, rather than just recordings of live play. The production value on this podcast is one of the highest I've ever heard, and the writing is top notch as well. I highly recommend it, even for people not familiar with the setting!
