Vantage Point Racing Club Episode 25

  • Summary

  • The Vantage Point Racing Club podcast has reached its quarter century! Ilka Gansera-Lévêque is joined by co-host Stephen Wallis, no Trevor this week, to discuss all the latest news from Saint Wendred's. It’s a busy time at the home of racing with the Tattersalls July sale and the prestigious July meeting culminating with the July Cup on Saturday 13. It’s also a busy week at Ilka’s Saint Wendred’s stable with the Art & Horse Racing exhibition “The Racehorse in Art Exhibition" being held between 7th and 14th 10am – 6pm. The Bug, the July Cup winner of 1946, will be there in the form of a fabulous painting by Raoul Millais. Co-host Stephen interviews Emma Greenwood a contemporary-wildlife artist that works in coloured pencil, who will be doing a demonstration at Saint Wendred’s on Thursday 11 July between 11am-2pm for visitors who attend the The Racehorse in Art Exhibition. Emma’s work "The Clash of the Antlers" was a finalist at David Sheperd Wildlife Foundation "Wildlife Artist of the year 2024." Finally, Ilka provides an update on the new Vantage Point Racing Club filly, who has recently joined the team. Art & Horse Racing will be on the road in 2024/25 at the art fairs below: - Art Fair East November 7th-10th in Norwich - Fresh Art Fair 31st January- 2nd February 2025, Alexandra Palace in London
