    Apr 12 2021

This episode is about oceans and it also covers the newly released documentary named Seaspiracy. Oceans are vital for the climate and for humans. The current industrial fishing is not sustainable and oceans are drained out of fish and life. And on top of that organizations meant to protect the seas and fishes are in fact enabling the opposite. Slavery occurs in the fishing sector and it looks more and more difficult to ensure sustainable fishing. At the same time, plant-based alternatives to seafood are on the rise.  There is hope - and the world seems to be pushed one more step closer to the vegan lifestyle.

    Mar 3 2021

This episode is about the Jain religion - which has a core principle to strive for causing as less harm as possible for all living. An ancient religion that has existed for more than 5000 years and where life is believed to exist also in, for example, stones, plants, insects and micro-organisms. The Jain community is mainly from India. What we today call veganism - has in some form been practised within the Jain community for ages. However, still, the Jain community consumes dairy products - but maybe a change will come - since mass consumption and industrialisation makes it difficult to not cause harm to the animals.

This episode is released on Fat Tuesday and is about the Swedish sweet pastry named Semla. It can today be found in both vegan and non-vegan forms. At the same time, the episode also covers a reflection on the importance of the dairy industry to embrace the future. This is also given in light of the ongoing pandemic that calls for limiting the animal industry in order to reduce risks for future antibiotic resistance and zoonotic diseases.
