  • He Did It for You

    In Jesus' last moments before he is arrested, Jesus modeled for us the importance and significance of communion and prayed in agony at Gethsemane. Through all of these moments, Jesus is willing to fulfill the will of God in his life because he loves us. He loves us even though we did nothing to deserve it. He loves us even though it cost him. As disciples, we must approach Jesus with extreme thankfulness for his sacrifice on our behalf.

  • The Greatest Command

    We often measure our growth or "success" as a Christian based on our ability to achieve for God. Jesus, however, redefines what true "success" looks like by teaching us to be people who learn to love him and others well. We will look at the passage about the Greatest Commandment and the parable of the Good Samaritan to see what this looks like.

  • Prayer and the King

    Jesus arrives in Jerusalem and enters as the King he is. Once he is there, he finds the temple lacking. Instead of being a house of prayer for all nations it has become a den of robbers. Our role as Jesus disciples is to worship him as King and to be a church devoted to prayer.

    If we want to call ourselves Jesus disciples we have to be ready to answer the question, who is Jesus to you? Is he just someone you know casually, or is he the Messiah? And then we have to decide, who will we be to Jesus? Are we willing to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Him in order to be his disciple?

  • Can You See Him

    Through the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 and Jesus walking on water we see God at work in our midst. However, the disciples missed the miraculous because they were focused on the mundane. Our job as disciples is to be able to recognize the work of God in our midst and join in!
