    Lynn Portas is a critically acclaimed composer, pianist, vocalist, and musical director. A native New Yorker, she has performed and recorded extensively, with her theatre works featured in productions for decades.

    Frequently performing as a singer and keyboardist in the New York tristate area, Lynn’s early credits as a musical director include the Off-Broadway hit Tony and Tina’s Wedding, as well as Totally Tubular Time Machine, Finnegan’s Farewell, and Channeling the King. She is a member of the nationally renowned BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and has been selected as a composer for the prestigious ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop at Merkin Hall in New York City.

    Portas is also active as a studio musician, writing and recording across genres like jazz, pop, and contemporary house music. She collaborated with the legendary Richie Havens on the Tex Murphy Overseer soundtrack at Bernard Fox Studio. Her latest track, “Reveal,” co-written with lyricist Chauncey Dandridge, has been lighting up dance floors downtown, even before its official release.
