• THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER: The Seed, The Soil, and The Harvest – BTEp15
    Aug 27 2024
Biblical Talks In this episode of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V explore "The Parable of the Sower: The Seed, The Soil, and The Harvest." In Luke 8:4-15, as per the New Living Translation, Jesus addresses a large crowd with a parable. This parable depicts a farmer sowing seeds, some of which fall on various types of soil. However, only the seeds that land on fertile soil yield a crop. Likewise, when one hears the Word of God—the seed—and retains it in an honest and good heart, they patiently produce a bountiful harvest. With the above scripture in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Luke 8:4-15 NLT? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, no worries, we've got you covered. In any case, join us with your Bible or Bible app. Also, go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post or subscribe and listen via your preferred podcast platform to follow along. Then get encouraged by joining Lady V and me in this Biblical Talk — The Parable of the Sower: The Seed, The Soil, and The Harvest. Scriptures Referenced in Episode Discussion Luke 8:4-15 Job 42:12-17 Romans 10:9-10 John 3:16-17 Numbers 6:24-26 Receive your Free Gift of Salvation – The Gospel of Jesus Christ Explanation If you are reading this, it is not by chance. This is your time to receive the Gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus. Now, you may be wondering, "Why do I need that?" Oh, I'm so glad you asked. The Bible says, that because Adam ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil -- he released sin into the world. And ultimately, Adam's sin brought death and death spread to everyone. No doubt, you may be thinking, "Of course, everyone is going to die." But, my question to you is "Where will you spend eternity?" Because there is life after death. In fact, when you die you go to one of two places -- heaven or hell. Also, it is important to understand that, Adam’s sin also brought an eternity in hell. But for those who choose not to receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, you must make that choice before you take your last breath. Romans 5:17 New Living Translation says, “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” To sum it all up, Romans 6:23 New Living Translation says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” So, if you are reading this, don't let another day go by without receiving this life-changing gift. Scripture Romans 10:8-10 New Living Translation says, “8 …“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Salvation Prayer Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I want to follow You, Jesus. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. By faith, I receive You, Jesus Christ, and your gift of grace. • The Two Gardens: The Lessons Learned – BTEp14
    Aug 6 2024
Biblical Talks In this installment of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V delve into Genesis Chapter 2, Genesis 3:1-13, and Luke 22:39-53. These scriptures offer insights into handling temptation. We analyze the two gardens and their teachings. Initially, in the Garden of Eden, we witness Adam yielding to the temptation he faced. In contrast, in the Garden of Gethsemane, we observe Jesus' opposite response as He resisted temptation. Life consists of a succession of choices. Sometimes, those choices entice us to make decisions that lead to negative outcomes. Often, our decisions have a direct impact on those around us. Therefore, upon examining the aforementioned texts, we can observe the significant influence that Adam and Jesus of Nazareth have had on the world. With the above scriptures in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read about ‘The Two Gardens’? If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered. • LIFE’S FIELD – We Harvest What We Plant – BTEp12
    May 7 2024
Biblical Talks In this episode of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V discuss Galatians 6:7-10 New Living Translation. In this passage, the Apostle Paul denoted that we will always harvest what we plant. In other words, life will always present us with the temptation to make harmful or bad decisions. And if we choose to do so, we harvest the negative and/or the destructive harvest that follows. No doubt, most often than not, someone other than yourself gets caught the crossfire. Moreover, the same is true, when we do good, we harvest blessings in just the right time. Although Paul's letter was addressing the churches of Galatia -- it still very much applies to us, even now. • Ordered Steps – BTEp9
    Feb 20 2024
Biblical Talks One of the many things I've learned over the years is that my plans for my life are not always what's best for me in the long run. In particular, I refer to those moments as redirections. And when I take the redirection, I end up exactly where I'm supposed to be. As a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I believe God has ordered my steps and all I have to do is be obedient. Another thing I've learned is that if I'm not obedient, God has a way of getting me back on track. Glory to God! In fact, for those who don't believe in Jesus, He has a way of reaching them as well. And we see an example of this in Acts 9:3-23 New Living Translation. Here we see that Saul/Paul a Pharisee [Jewish Leader], finds that out on the road to Damascus. He was on his way to hunt down followers of Jesus Christ but his encounter with the Lord Jesus forever changed the direction of his life. God ordered his steps. Now, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Acts 9:3-23 New Living Translation. If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered.
