Organizational Development expert and licensed therapist Elizabeth Speck, Founder & Principal of MindOpen Learning Strategies for Social Change, has been helping organizations create more equitable and diverse working environments for years and is now navigating the assault on DEI initiatives in the public and private sectors. She uses her personal journey, from education in a legally integrated school in Washington, D.C.'s Virginia suburbs to assisting New York City firefighters in learning more about perspectives they never considered, to explore the erroneous belief that diversity, equity and inclusion is about favoring people of color. Speck responds to the hostility of those in opposition to DEI in the workplace and answers the often-posed question of "What's in it for me?"
