  • 227: Skarmory
    Jun 11 2025

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 227th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today’s lesson, we will be discussing Skarmory: the Armor Bird Pokémon. Skarmory is known for its beautiful steel wings, which become tattered and bashed in from battling. However, once a year the damaged wings will grow back completely, restoring those sharp edges it once had before. Skarmory’s wings are so sharp that they have been used to create blades, swords, and knives. So I guess think twice before riding a Skarmory… you might rip your pants on its feathers. But that would make for a nice breeze though. Anyway, there’s more to learn about Skarmory, so take good notes!

  • 226: Mantine
    May 28 2025

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 226th lesson on Pokémon biology. And this lesson is all about Mantine: the Kite Pokémon. This water and flying type loves the open seas, where it swims freely with its good buddy Remoraid. Remoraid attaches itself to the underside of Mantine’s fin, where it scavenges its leftovers and fights together if attacked. Mantine is sometimes misidentified as a bird Pokémon as it frequently breaches the water, flying 300 feet into the air! Imagine a little Remoraid seeing the world from that height - talk about living the high life. There’s more to learn about Mantine, so strap in and take good notes!

  • 225: Delibird
    May 14 2025

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 225th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s class is all about Delibird: the Delivery Pokémon. Do you know what Delibird delivers? Good vibes, baby… and food! Delibird collects food in its tail to later share with its chicks and even other Pokémon & humans. It typically offers bug Pokémon to hungry humans, which sounds gross, but they do offer a good source of protein. If attacked, Delibird will throw food at its opponent. So is every battle with Delibird a food fight? A question for the scholars. And there’s more to learn about Delibird, so please take detailed notes!

**Schedule change: The Head Mistress has mandated that we temporarily switch to a biweekly schedule for the summer. We will return to weekly uploads on Wed, Sep 3.**
