  • Just 1 more step!
    Mar 30 2022

    At the core of believing

in ourselves is the desire to

    be in control.

However if we attempt to live

    life solely believing in ourselves

we will be trapped by discouragement ,

    fear, anxiety and worry.

    Try harder. Work more.

Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.

These messages clamor loudly in Western culture. But the Bible tells us that resilience is not a matter of trying harder. It is built through training wisely---taking up certain disciplines that help us grow in grace.

We need to make an alliance with ourselves no matter what comes our way, no matter what missteps we take .

The only thing that matters is to just take one more step. One more step.

Listen in as we take this next step together!

  • A loose tongue is poisonous
    Mar 21 2022

    Words kill , words give life;

They’re either poison or fruit- you choose.

    -Proverbs 19:21

Today's topic is a two fold subject that inevitably coincides with each other. And with everything going on in today's world they are at the core of the causes to our effects.

It is our speech and our actions.

At some point in our lives, we have all said something

    we wish we hadn’t.

For some of us, this has happened more often than we’d like to admit. It could be something as embarrassing as uttering a social faux pas, or something as hurtful as lashing out against a friend or loved one.

In an age where social media runs rampant , it could take the form of an offensive joke, or an angry comment with the intention to be noticed.

In a society that grows increasingly hostile, learning to become better listeners is a vital and rare commodity these days. Let's explore how to do so in this episode.

  • A lamp unto my feet and a light to my path
    Feb 18 2022

Without proper execution we miss the mark on not only the opportunities at hand but close the door to what could be a life of endless possibilities.

Have you ever wondered why you could look at two people and one you would say he or she has a lot of gifted abilities and another that may not be so gifted but yet they are well more successful in life than the other?

This is a common thread in many circles. I know I’ve seen it over and over within the athlete space. I’ve really narrowed it down to one core factor…. Execution, application or carry through.....

Learn why this is important in our walks with God and living in a way in which we can see the fruits of his grace in our lives.

Expectation always produces some sort of action within us and without action faith becomes stagnate.

Actions are the answer to keeping your faith alive. To make sure your expectations find the outflow they need for God to show up big in your circumstances.

Everything we do is shaped by the expectations we carry.

If we expect to be promoted or rewarded, that expectation will drive us to work harder. If we expect to always lose or never catch a break, that expectation will drive us to give up or shut down.

In this episode,we explore what it means to have active faith and what needs to be done to keep it flowing and not stagnate.

  • "Joy" is an intentional choice
    Dec 21 2021

One of the secrets to be defiantly joyful Is that it has nothing to do with the circumstances of What’s going on in your life Or your world. We have been conditioned to think that Joy Is a response to something or a set of favorable circumstances. And when we consider joy as an emotion it becomes fleeting, Fickle and temporary. Thus leaving us Feeling incomplete and frustrated. Truth of the matter is that it is not an emotion it can be produced when you need it on a daily basis, that's why it is one of the fruits of the spirit. And that fruit can nourish your mind, your body and your heart and soul. Sometimes being a joyful person in this crazy world seems impossible. Well then, let the impossible commence.
