About this listen

Diet soda is one of the few things in life that makes Harry very happy. And it turns out, it might be disappearing as “zero sugar” infiltrates the carbonated industry. Why is this happening all of a sudden and is there a difference between the two labels? Or is this just a war of words? I love this podcast! I didn’t think others were interested in this topic or many of the other subjects of Margins of Error. I wait patiently for new episodes every week!

I always loved diet soda. Mostly Coke Zero, tab or Fresca but this story is about when I fell in love with Canada Dry ginger ale. When I was pregnant and felt nauseous a lot, I remembered my parents giving me ginger ale to settle my stomach. Well I was drinking so much of it, I switched to CD Diet Ginger Ale. I fell in love. A couple of years ago I was being pressured to leave diet for zero sugar but I wouldn’t. That is until I bought up all of the diet ginger ale in my area and realized I had to switch and just get over it.
I’m still sad about this. Zero is not bad but doesn’t taste the same as Diet. Thank you Harry for finding out why for me and confirming what I already knew. It’s all about marketing!

Finally someone who cares about diet vs zero sugar
