Amanda had used her knowledge of her husband's habits to her advantage, spiking his whiskey with a sedative to ensure he wouldn't fight back. The word "Betrayed" on the paper was written by Amanda as a final message to her unfaithful husband.

With the mystery solved, Detective Sarah Jones closed the case, bringing justice to the victim and his family.
