  • Summary

  • Who Killed JFK? For 60 years, we are still asking that question. In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's tragic assassination, legendary filmmaker Rob Reiner teams up with award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien to tell the history of America’s greatest murder mystery. They interview CIA officials, medical experts, Pulitzer-prize winning journalists, eyewitnesses and a former Secret Service agent who, in 2023, came forward with groundbreaking new evidence. They dig deep into the layers of the 60-year-old question ‘Who Killed JFK?’, how that question has shaped America, and why it matters that we’re still asking it today.

  • The Investigations
    Nov 15 2023

Was there a coverup? The Warren Commission published a report in 1964 that claimed Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole gunman. But over a decade later, the House Select Committee on Assassinations claimed that President Kennedy was killed as the result of a ‘conspiracy.’ Why the conflicting results? With revelations over the last 60 years, flaws in both investigations are exposed.

so interesting!

There are so many intricacies in this story that I'm still learning new things about the assassination (and I remember the day it happened). This podcast pulls all the threads of the woven story. Well done!

Excellent podcast!

Best I’ve ever listened to. JFK was murdered in a conspiracy and that is real sad.

The magic bullet

i never bought the idea of one bullet doing what was described by Specter in the Warren commission, nor the idea that JFK was shot in the head from behind, no, several shots were fired and mostly from the front. So yes it was a conspiracy, was it CIA? or assassins payed, i don’t know, but would like to know! Soledad and Rob do a fantastic narrative of the facts and background leading to the cause.

Shadow Government

Excellent investigation reveals hidden threads of what actually took place. Unsettling information about the criminals who masterminded the murder of JFK.

Excellent But Not Complete

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast series. Rob Reiner knows how to tell a story, back it up with facts and draw a conclusion. Soledad O'Brien asked the questions I and listeners wanted to ask hence the questions were answered in addition to doing a fine job of story/plot summations throughout the entire series:

MY PROBLEM! There was absolutely no acknowledgement of Dorothy Kilgallen, world famous reporter covering Kennedy & Jack Ruby trials. Dorothy was murdered, her trial notebook that she was never without mysteriously disappeared. Joseph P. Kennedy made a deal with the mob that was not honored by RFK. Judith Campbell Exner was the prostitute involved with JFK & mob. And finally, Marilyn Monroe and her involvement with both Kennedy brothers which led to her murder. Too many known facts were left out of story and therefore one has to question as to why these well documented puzzle pieces were not mentioned or addressed in this series.

I would like to see a follow up series regarding the aforementioned players and maybe producers should consult with author Mark Shaw before next podcast series.

48 hrs great episode. New things I never heard be

Whoa whoa whoa. Ten minutes in you just state that the Fair Play for Cuba Committee in New Orleans was funded by the CIA, with no evidence or explanation. Sloppy editing would be putting it kindly. Do better.

linking of all participants

Well done and researched however audio only format tends to get lost - should offer a post listening flow chart(s) to better illustrate and understand all the players involved. But overall great work and sad to finally get to a conclusion. thanks

Engaging

I’m enjoying this podcast because I’m not buying the Warren Commission and yet I’m not a fan of crazy conspiracy theories. This podcast is logical and tells the story well.
