  • The ego is not committed to anything at all. It is like a wild child. Yet the goal of A Course in Miracles is Atonement which is a total commitment. So how do we move from being so wild and rebellious in our minds to accepting the goal of Atonement? The Holy Spirit and Jesus will give us many opportunities to develop commitment via temporary assignments in this world such as marriage, jobs, and various projects. They will all be let go of in the end but when used by the Spirit can be very helpful stepping stones to Awakening.
