Excellent teacher

Tenshin Roshi's down to earth style, honesty, and humility has helped me tremendously. Sometimes I think my struggles with Zen practice are weird or dumb, and then Roshi says he dealt with the exact same thing. He also explains the context of the old koans, which helps me work with them a bit more effectively.
