Jay remembers Rick Derringer & Sly Stone. Mr. Derringer, who passed at the age of 77, had a decades long career as a guitarist, songwriter, and producer. Stephen Thomas Erlewine said, in Allmusic, “James Brown may have invented funk, but Sly Stone perfected it." Mr. Stone passed last week at the age of 82.
