Makes me feel smarter for watching reality TV!
Therapist Melissa carefully dissects the possible psychological influences and disruptive behaviors of the reality stars living their lives on screen. she is so careful to maintain that she does not have a therapeutic relationship and is simply evaluating based on what we are presented from Bravo and other channels. She brings to light and encpurages understanding of mental health concerns and shares so much of her own personal journey, you feel like she's a close friend talking over coffee.
Her podcast truly make me feel smarter for watching what I consider vapid and mindless television, because I better understand the human condition and all of the ways personal interactions can be so flawed.
You gain compassion and insight into trauma response and consider empathy for those made out to be villains on their shows, who are actually having natural reactions to how they're being treated.
