Elven Roots

Kindra is an amateur genealogist, school psychologist, and widow under the age of forty. She has completed extensive research on her mother's side of her family, but she's never even met her father. A singing sword calls Kindra to defend her father's family from evil, even though Kindra has never even met anyone in that family and they live in a different realm.

Jess is a math teacher, dog lover, and best friend to Kindra, the most powerful half-elf to ever roam two realms. Unfortunately, King Ulford has sent assassins to eradicate all humans with Elven blood. Jess’s greatest weapon is a telepathic link to her German Shepherd Dogs, Butch and Cassidy. She and her canine duo team up with Kindra in an attempt to banish Ulford’s Assassins from the human realm.

Alek, a teenage elf charged with caring for a demanding prisoner within the confines of the Kingdom of Dredfall, witnesses his prisoner's liberation and impulsively tags along with the saviors instead of staying behind and facing punishment. It would have been wise to let the liberators know this was his plan but, like most young elves, he did not think that far in advance. The result of his impulsive action is life-altering.
