Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Nicole Edwards is continuing to heat things up with Betting on Grace, the first full-length novel in the sexy Dead Heat Ranch series.

The tables have turned on Grace Lambert. For a woman familiar with long days and hard work, she just recently discovered just how hot the sultry Texas nights can get. Finding time to spend with her two smoking hot cowboys, Grant and Lane, isn't exactly easy, but she's forging ahead with what has turned out to be the hottest relationship she has ever been in. The true test comes in standing up for what she wants.

Grant Kingsley has landed his feisty cowgirl, Gracie, and an equally sexy cowboy, Lane Miller, but everything outside of his romantic life has gone from routine to chaos in a matter of days. Unfortunately, he's become rather acquainted with Murphy's Law as he is inundated with a string of bad luck. His mother is missing, his gambling-addict father is worried about only one thing these days, and when Grant refuses to give in, all hell breaks loose on the ranch.

Lane Miller will be the first to admit that he falls in love easily. And he's done so again, with both Gracie and Grant. Only this time around, he's not giving up or giving in. Cowboys don't know what it means to back down, and Lane will ensure that the two most important people in his life get all of him, no matter what it takes.

Excellent menage romance

There is more to this than one romance going on within this story. Grace's family is amazing and comparisons are pretty drastic. Strong character development with a memorable and very hot storyline.

Cowgirl needs to grow a backbone

I had high hopes for Betting on Grace, since I have enjoyed many of Nicole Edward's books. However Grace - maybe late 20s- desperately needed to grow a backbone and start acting like a mature woman.

Grace and her sisters, who live on their father's dude ranch, are constantly squabbling like bratty children and afraid to communicate with their father honestly.

The sisters want Dad to accept their boyfriends but have a hissy fit when they find out he has been dating after years of being a widower. Get real girls!

Love

Would you consider the audio edition of Betting on Grace to be better than the print version?

This is one of the few books that I have listened to a second time, and about to listen to it again. I am ready to listen to the next book!!

What a total waste of time.

One reason I bought this book is because of the 3 narrators. I assumed they would play different roles. All they did was take turns reading chapters. Sometimes the female narrators were talking as if a male and vice versa. Two of the main characters have very similar names and each narrator pronounced them differently, making it difficult to keep track of who was who.
At times the same narrator used different pronunciations for the same person. There are quite a few explicit scenes but you may as well fast forward through them because they are all the same. Almost word-for-word. These scenes would not be enjoyed by a heterosexual male at all. I kept waiting and waiting for some suspense, mystery or intrigue, but nothing even close ever happened. Story could have been done in only one brief boring chapter.
