My heart fluttered as I listened, and i could really get a feel for the characters. The ending was sweet, and well deserved. This is a must have for those who love a good relationship/romance story. Most of all the story did not go the way I thought it would, but then it became something more. Something beautiful.

This book is extremely sexual but is not the star of the book. I still tear up at it. I think about myself in the situations and how I would react. How much I am like the characters. It touches me so much to read it.

Where does Bridges rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Id say this is defiantly one of my favorite stories told by Kyell Gold by far because of his ability to tell a story based around several different characters that move the story in interesting directions. It feels like he created these characters as if they are real, in a way to what each of us has probably went through at some point in our life or another. Which in turn, made me feel more attached to the story and something I could relate to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

If there is anything in particular I have to mention is the ending, or rather there of "endings" for each character in this story has their own ending and it flows so smoothly when each and every one of them comes to a conclusion. The final ending alone I would say, ends it on such a perfect note that it made me a bit emotional, but very filling.

Any additional comments?

Id highly recommend listing to this book if you like deep character development and a complex way to tell a story around that involving relationships.

A perplexed way at storytelling

Excellent descriptive writing, good dialog, convincing and deep characters. Almost a series of vignettes describing the ripples caused over a year by a gentle, generous, haunted main character. There are spot-on portraits of depression, love, self-sacrifice, loss, grief, and extraordinary kindness. What's different and surprising, and in Gold's hands works very well, is that the novel's world is one of gay furries -- anthropomorphic animals -- complete with hot sex scenes. In Gold's other novels, he uses the variety of animal species as a proxy to meditate on racial and sexual prejudice. Here, he exploits the psychic distance "animal" characters give to let his audience study and understand what can be the best in humanity.

This is going to be one of those stories I return too, loved it from the beginning to the end. Definitely hadn't expected the twist, and the turn it took. would recommend to anyone who's looking for a good story to listen too.

This was my first audio book I ever listened to, and I have loved every second of it! The story had its very hot and intimate scenes, which are really well described so you can imagine every thing that happens. The ending is so heart warming, and you really feel sympathy with the characters. A must read for other furries out there!
