About this listen

A USA Today best-selling novel.

Years ago, we were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar and I was the security professional hired to keep her safe. We fell hard and fast, no matter how much we tried to resist one another. But not everyone around us was happy about our relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what we once had. I moved on from her and didn't look back.

Now, I've taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, and I'm looking to rebrand my career. The newly crowned Jameson force security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing I have time for is to deal with my past.

More than a decade has passed since our split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to me for help, I reluctantly agree to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.

As the danger continues to intensify, it becomes clear that I'll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on me all those years ago. Because one thing is certain - no matter how hard I try to convince myself otherwise, Joslyn still has my heart.

Great Twists and Turns!

Very engaging story, I really liked the characters except for the bdsm stuff, not for me and it was unnecessary to the story. The plot was excellent, I enjoy books that are more than romance.

The narrators are why I purchased, especially Imogen Church. Imagine my surprise when she used an American accent. Still loved it.

Nice job, waiting for the next book in the series.

Second chance love with a twist

I really enjoy Sawyer Bennett’s books! It is fun to catch up with characters from previous stories. Kynan and Joslyn have a past that both feel the other is to blame for their break up. This story has many facets that all join together for an intense loving scary heart pounding book.

LaGina

This was an awesome story filled with excitement and adventure. The narrators did an excellent job of giving each character their own voice. I cant wait to read more in this series.

Great first book in this new series!

Awesome kickoff to this new series by Sawyer Bennett! I first read this book when it came out and absolutely loved it! I had been anxiously awaiting Kynan's story and only fell in love with him more at the turn of each page!
Unfortunately the audiobook fell a little bit flat for me though due to the narration. Shane East was fantastic as always but I had a hard time with the female narrator. Having said that, the story was amazing so I was able to overlook the little things that were bothering me whenever she spoke. I look forward to more.

Romantic suspense at it’s best!

It’s hard to find a good romantic suspense but Sawyer Bennett provides just that in this book! I’m loving her writing and these narrators are fantastic! Shane East has a real British accent (just an fyi) and both did a great job.

Fantastic!

Really good. Enjoyed the story of love lost and regained. The narration was very good and the dialogue and action flowed nicely. I started off reading the book, but had to go run errands so I bought the Audiobook 'cause I didn't want to stop, and I'm so glad I did. Now I have to go buy the rest. I highly recommend. Action and steamy!

Spine tingling

The narration from Shane East and Imogen Chirch was spot on and really brought this story to life for me. In all honesty, I could listen to Shane East all day long.

I have been intrigued by Kynan since he was first mentioned in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and was excited to read the beginning of his and Joslyn’s story in Wicked Force.

Code Name: Genesis picks up many years after Kynan McGrath and Joslyn Meyers first met and fell in love. However outside forces managed to keep them apart and thanks to lies and treachery they parted ways.

When fate brings them back into one another lives, will the connection and love they once shared still be felt? Kynan cannot help himself when Joslyn comes to him afraid for her safety and he is drawn back in as though the 10 years have never been.

As the danger continues to escalate, can Kynan find out who is behind it and in turn save the women he still loves or will all be lost?

This book was well written, exciting to read, emotional and at times intense as Kynan and Joslyn struggle not only with their past but with the danger that has become apart of their lives.

I really loved these characters and was captivated as Sawyer Bennett wove her story; in fact I was glued to the book from start to finish and I didn’t want it to end.

Exciting from the first page

At the helm of a protection agency, Kynan's first instinct is to not take the Joslyn's case since their relationship ended so badly years ago. But when her life is in danger her safety must come first. Can he save her life from a stalker and not fall back in love with her? Or is there too much hatred in his heart to realize she is the one that got away. Highly addictive and perfect start to the series. I cannot wait for more. Shane East and Imogen Church brought the characters to life and had the perfect narration.

Good story, great male voice, terrible female voice

This is a tough one for me...I LOVE Sawyer Bennett. She is a one-click author for me. I have read all of her books at least once. Love her. However, this story was not my favorite. It was very good, very well done and a great start to the series. I waited awhile after I finished to review this so I could think about my reasons for the less than stellar review. So here goes...
The story was good. I got distracted with other things frequently though...hence my reflection before this review. I think the reason I was unable to focus 100% was the excruciatingly overacted narration by Imogen Church...NOT the story. Had the female narrator been different, this would’ve been an easy 5 star for me.
Shane East...what can I say? He’s always such a pleasure to listen to. His tone, inflection, pacing and overall delivery is impeccable. And that accent. Swoon...
Imogen had a few scenes where she wasn’t so over-the-top and it was such a relief. Those scenes were good. But the other 95% of her scenes were brutally overdone...to the point of being squeaky and cartoonish. She’s a talented actress. She just overdid it in this book.
It’s worth a listen. I’m in the middle of the next book in this series and am enjoying it immensely.
