Callie Colter once chased sunsets all over the world. Until Max. Together they were a perfect storm of desire, and she reveled in the beautiful burn. Then he disappeared, and the betrayal drove her home to lick her wounds. Who knew he’d have the gall to show his face in her brother’s bar. Max Wilder figures he deserves Callie’s right hook to the jaw, but it changes nothing. He had his reasons for pursuing her across Europe, for making her fall in love with him. But when she took everything he gave and offered more, she changed all the rules. He had no choice in leaving her, but now he’s back. This time for the right reasons. Callie is angry and hurt but powerless against Max’s relentless onslaught. He’ll settle for nothing less than her complete surrender - and her love. Only when she’s back in his arms will he be truly happy. And the damning truth can stay safely tucked away. Except the truth has a way of creeping to the surface, and now Max is out of second chances.

Maya has done it again and again and again... Maya Banks can't write these books fast enough for me!! I love the characters and the dialogue is just as if I am part of the conversation....very real-life! Last but, by no means least, THANK YOU ...THANK YOU...THANK YOU for having a male narrator. I cannot listen to another audiobook with a female voice trying to do men's voices who are supposed to be burly and masculine!! They always sound like drag queens to me...I just can't get involved in the story like that. Thank you Maya...KEEP WRITING THESE BOOKS AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!MAYA BANKS HAS QUICKLY BECOME MY FAVORITE AUTHOR

Would you consider the audio edition of Colters' Daughter to be better than the print version?
Not applicableIf you’ve listened to books by Maya Banks before, how does this one compare?
I love Maya Banks and started this series because I'd listened to everything else she had written. The first two in the series are creepy (in my opinion) but this one is 100x's better. The series would rank pretty low but this book brings it up a bit. What about Freddie Bates’s performance did you like?
He is consistent and able to perform 7 male characters with some distinction. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I did.Any additional comments?
NOTE: Strong language and sexual content.Maya Banks Redeems This Somewhat Eww Series Here

The exploration of a submissive one on one relationship between Callie and Max is a nice change of pace in this series, and Freddie Bates is a wonderful narrator just perfect for this story. His gruff tones are great for Max, and his lighter, higher voice for Callie and the other female characters isn't grating. Worth a credit? I'd have been happy to spend a credit on this, but it was more economic just to pay for it and save my credit on other more expensive titles.
A Change of Pace for the Colters

This time it's Callie's turn to find romance in the arms of Max but he let her down and is back begging forgiveness and another chance at a relationship. But Callie doesn't realise he's demanding (literally) a submissive/dominant relationship - however it doesn't take him too much effort or time to convince and show her how enjoyable it can be. Passions flare but emotions soon crumble and fly (along with fists) when Max's secret plans are revealed and once again Callie's heart is broken.
It's an enjoyably listen and it was nice to catch-up with all the other members of the family as they are drawn into the continuing saga and I'm looking forward to book 4 Colter's Promise followed by 5 Colter's Gift which Audible should hopefully stock soon.
Worth a credit? It's under $10 so I never think it's worth spending a credit but, if you're in the mood for a little erotica escapism from time to time, then yes it would be worth it. However, if you'd prefer not knowing what goes on between the sheets (or anywhere else the mood takes them) then best look elsewhere.
THE COLTER SAGA ENJOYABLY CONTINUES

What did you love best about Colters' Daughter?
Please DON'T read/listen to this story until you have encountered the first two stories of the Colter's Legacy series, otherwise, you'll be lost with the characters. This is a continuation of the daughter, Callie, and why she was so wounded from her previous loss of her significant relationship with Max. It does bring in Dominance/submission and simple elements of BDSM, but nothing worse than erotic spanking. It does explore the psychology of why a self-reliant, assertive person such as Callie would enjoy submission, under the right circumstances/person. It shows how trust is the glue in that type of relationship, and Callie struggles mightily to trust again once trust was broken. What was one of the most memorable moments of Colters' Daughter?
When Callie learns to trust again at the end of the story. No spoilers... it is well worth it to see to the end! What does Freddie Bates bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Amazing how Freddie can modulate his voice to touch upon all the characters, both male and female. That is amazing among narrators. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I would be in the habit of doing that, yes, I would. It would be great as a distraction for a long car trip or flight.Any additional comments?
Just disappointed that the series is done!Wow! Intense...
