Publisher's summary

Enter the enchanting world of the Carpathians, where dark adventure, mystery, and love await, and the desires of two daring hearts unite in one irresistible passion.

A telepathic hunter of serial killers, Raven Whitney helps to catch some of the most depraved criminals. But her work keeps her from getting close to others, and has drained her body and spirit. In need of rest and rejuvenation, she embarks for a vacation far from home.

Mikhail Dubrinsky is the prince of the Carpathians, the powerful leader of a wise and secret ancient race that thrives in the night. Engulfed by despair, fearful of never finding the mate who can save him from the encroaching darkness, his soul cries out in loneliness - until the day that a beautiful voice full of light and love responds, softly soothing his pain and yearning.

From the moment they meet, Raven and Mikhail are helpless to resist the desire that sparks between them. But just as fate unexpectedly brings these life mates together, malevolent forces threaten to destroy them and their fragile love. Yet even if they survive, how can these two lovers - Carpathian and human - build a future together? And how can Mikhail bring Raven into his dark world without extinguishing her beautiful goodness and light?

Crybaby woman

It was a good book overall, but the main woman was such a crybaby and whined about almost everything and if she wasn’t by halfway through it I couldn’t stand her. I am worried that maybe the tread of this author...may hold off on getting another book at least of this series.

Dark Prince Re-Release

As I listen to all of this series on audible vs. reading the actual book, I wasn't totally happy with this one. I did like getting all the additional information that wasn't in the original release, but the narrarator wasn't as good as the first one. As many of you know, the narraration makes book all the more enjoyable. With that said, the book was good (with lots of information), but could have been better with another narrarator.

Never gets old

I read this book for the first time over 20yrs ago, and it still holds up. Raven inserting her independence, Mikhail protecting her while still trying to let her have her independence. Is wonderful to watch, and it just keeps getting better with each book.

Definitely A One Timer

The story is full of action and suspense, but the story is based around characters with such extreme personality issues and their dysfunctional relationship as to make the story very hard to listen to. I almost quit listening to this book several times. It is a good story and it has very deep social overtones, but, in my opinion, almost so overdone as to detract from the story.

Clearly read, not a fan of sappy Raven read

Love this book. Was ill so decided to listen to audible. Reader was clear and only mispronounced a couple of things, but read Raven as a breathless weakling that was annoying because Raven is anything but. Even with the Vampire she doesn’t cower, so I hated hearing her read in that breathy, my corset is too tight voice. Ironically the male voices were pretty good. Feehan writes a good story, TMI on sex, but she told me the editors insist the public wants it. As the buyer/reader, I disagree. But love the series.

I love this book<br />

I have loved this story from the start I've read it over and over but this is my first audiobook and it just opened it up even more so to the excitement of the story thank you so much for this and I look forward to the rest of the books which I've already read but I'd love to listen to them also.

Gosh darn get this hero some netflix!

First chapter - first 1min of the audiobook. The hero talks about having read all his books, how he's lonely and can't bare his existence anymore.

This dude needs some Netflix STAT! Maybe a little chill. Maybe a little Amazon Prime.

I love all Christine Feehan books. This is by far my fave book of hers. And I'm rereading it for like the 20th time. I strongly recommend you enter the carpathian world. Her earlier books are her best.

Great narrator, good story.

Not a Fan

How can a heroine hunt killers and be so whiny for so long? I have another 7 hours left. First time I will not finish a book. Very disappointed.
