Publisher's summary

Crashed spaceship. Prison planet. Snarling, lethal predators. Two big, hulking, bronzed aliens who turn into dragons. The best part? The dragons insist I’m their mate.

The Zorahn wanted women for some kind of super-secret science experiment, and I volunteered. Dumb move, right? But they promised we’d be safe, and they offered a lot of money. Money I needed desperately.

Of course, everything went wrong.

Our spaceship has crashed on a prison planet, one where the Zorahn exile their most dangerous criminals. My friends are injured. I’m all alone on a jungle planet where everything is designed to kill me.

Then I run into the Draekons. When they see me, they change into dragons and burn the predators threatening me to a crisp. They feed me and care for me, and they keep me safe.

But there’s a catch. The Draekons insist that I’m their mate. And the only way they can shift into dragons again to save my friends? Both of them need to mate with me. At the same time.

This isn't the space vacation I thought it would be.

Draekon Mate is the first book in the new Dragons in Exile series. It’s a full-length, standalone science fiction dragon-shifter MFM menage romance story featuring a snarky human female, and two arrogant aliens that keep her warm, with or without dragon fire. (No M/M) Happily-ever-after guaranteed!

Cute dragon love

The story idea is quite intriguing and can be complex if the world-building is extended further. There was some fun humor and interesting descriptions of everything. I was a little confused at some details towards the end of the book, though:
1) I heard a mention of "Draken" instead of "Draekon."
2) Abrupt, random near-abduction by primitive Draekon. It was there and then suddenly gone. Just like Arax and Nix's sudden transformation upon hearing Viola's cry. So it seems like the men can only transform if she's in trouble before their bond is complete...?
3) Arax and Nix tell Viola not to tell the other women that they won't be able to return to Earth yet, but Viola doesn't say that they already know about it.
4) In my opinion, the epilogue and preview could have been combined, but I know that epilogues don't necessarily have to be about the main characters. However, in the preview, Vulrox and Denox transformed into Draekon upon seeing their mate before she was killed, but when they see Harper, they don't transform. Aren't these men supposed to transform upon seeing their mate? Maybe that will be explained in the next book.

I like the overall story, but it doesn't compel me to read the next book. I believe the next book and the next ones after that would go into more detail about the exiled group and backgrounds of the Draekon, which would be great to read/listen to. I'm just not interested right now.

The narrators did a good job and I applaud them. They all spoke clearly and didn't over-enunciate. There were times when I didn't know if Jasper Woodcock or Ry Forest were speaking. It just seemed like one person with different tones to distinguish Arax and Nix. That was on me for not really paying attention LOL I am kind of iffy on Misty Dawn because she sounded fake or over-done when Viola cries out for help or exclaims over something. Her voice reminds me of Andi Arndt a little bit, so that's why I like her regardless.

Sexy Dragon Shifter MFM Romance

This was a enjoyable read and a very solid start to this series. An interesting storyline, complex characters and a heavy dose of steam are brought together to create a engaging, swoon worthy paranormal romance. This book captures your attention easily and quickly and it will leave you eager to read so much more about the Draekon's, their mates and the world they inhabit. Arax, Viola and Nyx were likable and I felt easy to connect with. I felt that these three made a great triad. They each brought their own unique characteristics and emotional baggage into the relationship. This created a nice balance to the group. The storyline is filled with action, drama, sizzling steam, humor, strong emotions, adventure, excitement, suspense, sweetness and romance. The narrators did an excellent job and I loved that each of the three main characters had their "own voice". For me, this is an extra added perk that makes a great read even better.

Interesting Storyline

This book is apparently setting the stage for future books to come. I have not listened to any other book in the genre with a similar storyline. The narrators did a good job with characters. Look forward to listening to the next book which based on preview, has an interesting story to tell.

Great Story!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Good start of the Dragons in Exile series. Great chemistry between Viola, Arax and Nyx. Love the different narrators for each of the main characters. I cant wait to read/listen to the rest of the series to see what happens with the Draekons and each triad couple.

Sexy Ménage

Lee Savino and Lili Zander have created a rich and unique world of dragon shifting men who mate with their human women in triad relationships. The backdrop of carving out a new life on a planet fraught with deadly plants and animals while navigating relationships, coping with the knowledge that they will never return to earth, and the confusing political agendas draws you into a story that is hard to put down. All of this and sexy menage scenes make a winning combination and a great story.
The narration by two men and a woman add a richness to the story that can only be topped by an actual movie!

nrw series

This is a great start to an exciting series and I enjoyed it. The teaser for the next book at the end sounds enticing. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a great job bringing it to life.

Love the story

I felt like I had the best of both worlds, a great story line a 2 great Narrators. Thought the Draekons reminded me a little of a character from another book from another author the story was completely different. I look forward into reading more from this series and will check out other books this author.

Wow

I'm totally new to this type of romance novel. My only complaint is that each novel is so darn short. I enjoy the narrators - especially Misty Dawn. Laughed so hard several times. If you can get over the ridiculousness of the whole thing, it is a great five hours to pass the time. Very steamy.

book 1

this is a great listen. the concept of going to another planet to help their scientists would be exciting and scary at same time. Vi did it because she had no family left. things go wrong when one of the people in charge decide to crash the ship on a prison planet.
here Vi meets her mates and it can be very steamy at times with a storyline to help find and save the other women who came with her.
