About this listen

Abby Erickson isn't looking for a one-night stand, a relationship, or anything that involves any one-on-one time, but when she witnesses a shocking crime, she's thrust into the hands of the sexiest man she's ever seen - Colton Anders. His job is to protect her, but with every look, every touch, and every simmering kiss, she's in danger of not only losing her life but her heart also.

Written differently from Armentrout's other stories

I have to start out by saying that I have loved just about every book Jennifer has ever written and she is my favorite author. I have really enjoyed this series too. However, while probably more realistic, I had a hard time with this heroine. I don't know if I related to some of her insecurities and that's why she bothered me? Maybe it was also partly bc of the way the voice actor portrayed her? It did make me see how unattractive an insecure person can appear (not just romantically either). So maybe I needed to hear this to see that? I don't know. Jen has a way of making me think with each character, so that's good...but I do have to say that I'm glad this was a novella because it was shorter with a character like this. I'm glad she got her happy ending too.

A sweet novella

Suspense. Chemistry. Insecurities. And cameos from characters we've grown to love from other stories in the series. A great novella. Natalie Ross does a fine job narrating each character's voice.

Couldn't even listen...

The audible version was so horrible that I stopped listening after the first painful 5 minutes and read instead. The narrators voice does not fit the character AT ALL and is soooooo annoying.

Good story

The book was pretty good. I’ve been enjoying the series but this book has a different narrator and I did not enjoy her at all. I don’t recommend listening to this audio version.

Awful Narrator

I love this series but the narrator completely ruins the audiobook. Do yourself a favor & stick to reading this on kindle.

Okay.

It was a nice little in between story. Love that the characters fit in with the characters from the rest of the series. I do hate how rushed it seems, but it was as expected. Story was good. Characters were good. the narrator wasn't one of my favorites. At least not for this book. I was hoping this would answer some questions from the last book which is the main males brother, but it didn't. Or maybe I'm overlooking them? I'm not sure. Either way it's not a necessity to read/listen to this one, but it's a nice side story.

not awesome

There were good parts and it was sweet and had some very sexy scenes.
Narrator wasn't very good - overly emphasized almost every word which made it sound super cheesy.
Will not try either again (author or narrator), but I've come across worse in past.

Awful voice actor

I wanted to DNF this book so badly all bc of the voice actor, but I love the series and suffered through.

Dream of You needs to be EYE read.

Normally I say get the audiobook… not this time. I loved the story but not a fan of this narrator.
First I thought maybe it’s just me because I was used to another doing this series so I stopped it took a break and came back.
Nope just not a fan of this narrator she sounded like she was trying too hard to put emotion in to her words.
Also her male voice was meh, she isn't bad at the male parts just her tone overall.

Now the story was great, so I say buy the book and eye read it because it’s a great addition to this series.

I was intrigued about Reece’s brother Colt and he deserves a HEA. So does Abby, she has suffered so much loss. And now she is in danger after being witness to a crime.
Enter in Colton, swoony Colton. These two together make sense.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
