I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started Entrenched, but wow — this audiobook pulled me in from the first chapter. The storytelling is raw and real, and the narrator does an amazing job bringing emotion and depth to every word. I really enjoyed this, The narrator gets it just right....the right pitch and varience and tempo....kept me listening with interest. It's a good, gritty vampire story. For me, it was just about the right balance of using history and easy to imagine places and environments, with a clear and powerful story....one where it's easy to feel the emotion and be drawn into it. A good balance of action and romance. Definately worth a listen if you like this sort of genre.

Wow, this was a lot of fun! And it was definitely worth every minute, too! I'm someone who's partial to WWI and WWII era stories, and who doesn't love a good romance novel? This had the full range of emotions I'm looking for in a book, so I'd certainly recommend it to others!

This was a great romantasy. The world war I setting is unique for a vampire romance and the endless love of Marius and Sophia is strong to pull you through the story until the end. My only critique is that the "spice" starts off pretty quickly...I don't always need a slow burn but more a buildup before the spice certainly could have added more to the character development.
