poor reader

story line is good but writing very simple. Performance almost ruins the book. reader mispronounces words, no versatility of voices, Grown male has more high pitched voice than the girl.

Love, love, love!

I was sad when I finished these episodes because it ended, on a cliffhanger no less! The characters were well developed. The plot line was engrossing. And like Amon (spelling is so hard when you only listened), I wavered between trusting a character and then being disappointed. She trusts her dragon, who basically chose her rather than her choosing him. Everything is harder for her because she has a crippled leg. Being handicapped is a social stigma but she perseveres. The story drew me in so much. I admired her. Definitely a must read!

The male narration is comical, the story is forced.

You absolutely cannot imagine a guy as a looker if he has a high squeaky voice.

The main character has a dead leg, Im halfway through Book 1 and still don't know how it was hurt. She complains about her leg all the time, it's the main focus of the story. It feels forced so it can stand out as a book with a disabled female protagonist. "I can't do this, I can't do that. My leg, my leg." Then why did you want to be a dragon rider? You didn't think heights would be involved. It seems like she wanted to fly a dragon and paid zero attention to the job description. I want to be a bodybuilder without having to build up my body.

The narration was flat with little emotion to spice it up.

The narrator did not put much inflection in her voice so the story plodded along.

A New Type of Heroine

I absolutely loved listening to this book . Amel has a disability and has to work harder than everyone else to achieve her dream . It truly touched my heart hearing how she had to wake up so much earlier than everyone else in order to be on time . The bond between Amel and her Dragon is beautiful .

not your regular main character.

I found it interesting. The main character has disabilities that she lives with and goes forward with her wants. good read.

Narration killed the story

It was a decent plot line, some gaps, but it would have been better if I just read it myself. The narrator was woefully lacking in style and tone. Very hard to follow who was speaking.
