Publisher's summary

Gavin had believed himself untouchable. There wasn’t an inch of his body that hadn’t been taught to eliminate any threat, both to himself and others, as a Navy SEAL. Not only had he been trained to be a warrior, but a strategist who could accomplish any mission that he was given....

Until the day he was blindsided by a brother with his own agenda and was forced to accept that everything he had believed in had been an illusion.

An illusion that he was capable of love.

An illusion of the woman who had kept him sane during his darkest days.

An illusion that The Last Riders would always have his back.

Now he was being forced to accept the man they had created. A man who didn’t care about anything or anyone, living a life without reason, joy, or peace. A soul so broken that it couldn’t be fixed, searching for the one reason to keep himself breathing. How was he supposed to know it was a song?

Disappointed

Waited so long for Gavins story but this book fell so flat for me. I have loved the entire Last Riders series. This book did not have any romance in it and was overloaded with back story information. I love some good six degrees of separation but that was a lot, and I found myself getting disinterested in the book. From the book description I thought this was gonna be Gavins full point of view and his love story with Taylor (his fiance). Taylor was a blip in the story and there was no love connection there. None of the guys liked her. Gavins interactions with her ,he either just finished tapping that and then had to leave for the last riders or he was irritated with her. I did not feel any connection there. When we got to the Onslaught of Gavins brutal captivity and he started to hallucinating about her at the very end of it, it didn't make any sense. When Gavin was finally rescued and he find out Taylor moved on he breaks down but I couldn't even feel his heartbreak. I was ready for this to be a tissue box read but it wasn't. There was a lot of setup for Jenny that over shadowed Gavins history. Jenny and Gavin don't meet until the very end of the book. At this point I'm over Gavins infatuation with Taylor, because I don't understand or felt their bond. Hopefully in the next book I'll feel the bond between Gavin and Jenny and Taylor will be a forgotten memory. Wish I could have taken that ride with Gavin of him falling in love with Taylor and then the heartache of losing her. Would have made Jenny a nice and welcome ray of hope for better times and that love and happiness are still possible even when you think they aren't.

Hmmm...

Love the series but I had to keep a piece of paper handy so I could write the name of all the characters. I got lost & confused a couple of times but the story explains a lot. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Love, love , love this book and the Audible Version

It’s been a long time since I reviewed a book because quite frankly most of the ones I’ve bought just haven’t been good. We this book is a game changer. The narrator does an amazing job of making me believe there was a cast involved in the narration. The book, was wordy but each of the words have meaning when the book is complete. I truly feel like I know both characters. I just bought the audible version or books 2 and 3.

Love the series......

I read the books first. Loved them....couldn't wait for audio books to come out. I got Gavin's Song (audio ) yesterday.
It was really intense.. I really enjoyed it . Elizabeth Hart had me going through all the emotions. This is more of a back story about the charactes. Can't wait for Reaper's Wrath to get here next.

I am obsessed

I have been obsessing over this book series since I stumbled onto Luckys choice and I really can’t get enough. I listen or read these over and over I am so hung up on these books that I have a book hangover and can’t move on til I gorge myself on them. It’s a completely unhealthy relationship but I can’t break the habit like a crackhead. I love all the characters and their personalities and quirks. Gavin and Ginny are two I love the most. Gavin is growly and total hot mess Ginny is sweet and a bit nutty in her own right being a mountain woman and all. So worth the read and the listen.

Love this series

I think this series is one of the best! Jaime Begley weaves her stories so that you love every character from every book. Elizabeth Hart makes every character voice unique so that you always know who is speaking! I listen to these books over and over again! Can’t wait for the other two books in Gavin’s story!

Waited so long for this one!

I have listened to all the The Last Rider books and am thrilled that Gavin's trilogy is here. The first book is introducing us To Gavin and Jenny separately as we learn their backgrounds and what has formed them into the people they are today. Parts were very sad and heartbreaking but you have to listen to get the full impact of the people this trilogy is all about. I absolutely love these two and cannot wait for their happy ending ❤
