I love this Series!

I have listened to most of this series, and I have to say I love it!

The narrator initially bugged me a little because her female characters all tended to sound winey in pitch, but after a while, you don't really notice as much. You just get used to it. I want to say that Lauren Sweet narrates everything Milly Taiden writes. I own a lot of her stuff, so she is like a member of my family I hear her so much. Her general reading voice is good for the non-character parts.

This is a short read like a novella. Most of the reviews mentioned this was a short read, so I went in thinking of it as a short read. Some might feel disappointed in the length, but it has all the parts it needs to make the story great. Sometimes I prefer a short read because it gets straight to the point and more importantly straight to the sex.

This is book #3 in the Paranormal Dating Agency series. Although these are all connected they can easily be read as a stand-alones. Each new book either the lady looking for love or the shifter she is being set up with knows the people from the last book in some form or fashion. In this book Talia Barca aka Tally from book #1 is in it at the beginning as friend to the main character Lyss. She is introducing Lyss to the Gerri Wilder who is the match making genius and owner of the Paranormal Dating Agency. The couple from book #2 are referenced indirectly but none of them being mentioned by name.

Gerri Wilder is the definitive connection for all the books! She is a shifter herself, and might as well be ageless. She has many tricks up her sleeve as well as some strange magic, so heaven only knows how old that lady really is. Gerri has a gift for knowing a person's mate. She is pretty secretive as to the extent of her gift, but I'm fairly sure she sees and knows way more than she will ever tell. It's one of those things where you wonder if it was really an accident or a coincidence or was is a Gerridence? lol

This book finds Alyssa Moran [AKA] Lyss tired of dating losers but determined not to end up being a lonely cat lady. She wants love and kids and willing to try dating out of her species if Gerri can make it happen for her. Lyss has to travel out of town to meet her shifter date so Gerri makes arrangements for the weekend. After major car trouble along the way she is literally run in to by her potential suitor although I don't know if Lyss ever realizes it. Grayson Green knows he wants her the moment he sets eyes on her but doesn't know his loyal guards have set this whole meeting in motion. Gray is a Tiger shifter who does not believe in love but who needs a mate and some cubs ASAP to keep from having to battle for his position as the pride leader.

The physical chemistry between these 2 is electric and steamy with lots of sex and even when they are not having sex there is lots of talking about the sex they plan to have later. I do have to say though for a man that is desperate need of cubs, he seems to be a bit too preoccupied with anal sex. I guess he doesn’t know how babies are made.

These books are BBW in nature. I did not select them for that characteristic nor do I read that genre specifically either. I am familiar with what reviewers have slammed some books for in this genre and feel that these books should meet with one's needs if they do like this category of fiction.

I personally just love paranormal romance series and a good deal on price as I am a massive consumer. Although these books focus on larger ladies with curves, they do not belittle others that are not of the curvy variety, which I have unfortunately seen before. These books encourage being happy with what you got and not letting others tell you that you deserve crap relationships because you are not what they would deem as the ideal body type.

A tasty bit of fluff

Hot, fluffy sweetness. A bonbon among the meatier options for when you're in the mood. I really like this as a kindle purchase with audio. iPhones need not lose out - check out the Kindle or Audible apps as applies to your tech.

Protecting what is yours

This was a great story. I done the whispersync with this book. I so loved the narrator that she is using on this series. You truly get pulled into the story.

Alyssa is this shy girl that just wants to find love. She is headed down the road to be a single cat lady. She has this inward sass that she truly does not know she has.

Gerri in every story so far we have seen a concern and compassion that she has to each client. She truly wants to help Alyssa out. Gerri wants to make sure every things goes perfect for Alyssa’s date. I love how she does not tell her anything about her date.

Grayson Green was a loner to a certain degree. He was the leader of his pride. Gray was facing a very serious situation. He needed a mate to bare his cubs or he would have to fight to stay leader.

I loved Gray and Alyssa’s first and second meet. You will see why I added both first and second once you read the story. Gray and Alyssa have this chemistry. Gary brings out a side that Alyssa she did not know she had and Alyssa brings out a side that will help him be a better leader.

The thing about Gary is he does not believe in love. Oh, he cares for Alyssa and is quick to let the males know that she is HIS but he is scared of love. He thinks love will make him weak. This could destroy the relationship he has started with Alyssa. Alyssa wants love. It is important to her.

There are several challenges along the way and danger is just around the corner. Grayson will have to do what he can to keep Alyssa safe.

This was a great story and glad I got a chine to read.

stars Good story!

While I loved this series when I read it as an ebook, I'm starting to wonder if I really paid attention to the stories. For some reason, which I can't figure out, the stories seem much naughtier in audio than they did in print. Not saying that's a bad thing, it's just... unexpected. As for the story itself, I really like the characters. I think the stories hit all the major points without being too long. I think it could use a bit more detail, a bit more... filler, if you will. I would love it if there was a bit more to sink my teeth into, no pun intended. Anywho, well done to the author. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book.

Definitely not what I usually listen to, but…

These aren’t really the types of books that I usually listen to, but I just finished something super dark and existential so I needed something light. I don’t normally pick something like this series because the novels are usually extremely poorly written and performed, with ZERO personality beyond the characters having sex. There is a lot of sex in these, but it seems more purposeful.
I’m going to rate these books on a couple of different levels, most notably the enjoyment of the books as frivolous, lighthearted, and erotic and the “quality” or “depth” (probably not the right words, but I can’t think of another right now) of the series.

Overall enjoyment: ***** (5 stars)

***** As light, easy reads, I would easily give these books 5 stars. They are sweet, light, erotic, and playful. I mean, a matchmaker who sets shapeshifters up with humans?

*** Character development was a little lacking, in my opinion, so 3 stars. In most of the books I’ve listened to so far (I’m at #9), the women all have similar personalities and have little growth past the “oh, d@mn, I’m getting set up with a hot guy who loves my chunk and can turn into an animal”. However, I feel that the men have a bit more growth and personality than the women who the novels are supposed to be centered around.

****1/2 I feel the likability of the characters is high, (so 4 1/2 stars) though there were some things that I was annoyed by, other than what was previously mentioned. The item that bothered me the most…I know this is a BBW series and I, myself, am fat, so I appreciate a story about a curvy woman being desired by a built guy. However, the author tends to mention the character’s size and extra layers of padding as if they are another character in the story. Every time the FMC and MMC(s) meet, there is mention of it. During sex, when the woman gets changed, or over a cup of tea, it’s another conversation about it. I get it, but the color of the woman’s eyes is mentioned only once or twice, why does the size of her butt need to be in every chapter? And again, character development could have been a lot more significant.

Depth: ** (2 stars)

** These are definitely frivolous novels. The books I love the most are those that have significant character development, depth, and make you feel very deeply for the outcome of the relationships. These are not those books. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely want them to have their HEA, but I don’t feel deeply for them. They don’t feel like friends and give me a sense of loss when the books end.

Overall, I would give this series something between a 4 and 4 ½ (4 ¼?) star rating. However, since I can’t do that, I will be giving it a 4 star review simply because it doesn’t quite deserve 5 stars.
Very cute, will be listening to the rest of the series when I need a break from the darker romances.

She looking for love he does not do love

Would you consider the audio edition of Her Purrfect Match to be better than the print version?

Alyssa wants the works home, babies and man. She tired of men she tried so she goes to Gerri because her co worker.

Gray pride is getting restless he not mated has no cubs and does not do love. So when he stand his ground Stripes goes behind h is back get him mate via PDA and he doesnt not know he was signed up.

People want him dead her gone and on top that She really want him but he doesnt do love right? pick it up Listen you love how it goes fur flies and .....
