About this listen

Jerrek Valsys was quite literally cursed. In life and in love. With no wife to see him through those long lonely nights and no way to help tame the beast that currently resides inside him, he'd spent years waiting on his mate with a glowing rock to show up. Seriously. He had. Because the prophecy told him so. But when his beast comes out and finds its mate, he may have to forget about that whole prophecy thing. Even if it means he has to give up his crown as the Fae King.

Kaia Cutestone's life sucks. She has a job with no future and lives with her dead-beat, soul-sucking brother. The only good things in her life are her friends Jen and Avery. It's too bad the three of them have just been kidnapped with fairy dust. All Kaia has going for her at this point is that she just ran into the most gorgeous man she's ever seen.

Thanks to her love of shifter romance novels, Kaia might be the only person on the planet who can help Jerrek tame his beast and keep him from killing more people. Kaia may not have a glowing rock but she sure is rocking an old ugly necklace. But is that enough to get her a happily ever after and help find her friends?

Contains mature themes.

Simple plot. Cute but very predictable. Nice easy listening for multitasking. No real stress or trauma. Pleasant.

Like all milly taiden books I love this was no exception but would have chosen one of her previous narrators this one not well with no feeling and the scenes for female main character sounds child like overall story was excellent but not the narration I will continue to enjoy this author books but with narrator I will not listen to again

Story was excellent

Not so great. Sadly it seems to be a vehicle for a few steamy scenes? It could have been much more.

simple

Another hit by Milly Taiden. Fantasy, love, action, adventure all in one book it make your heart race and feel like it’s going to exploded. So many feelings all at once. And the sexy scenes oh my lord! Uff! I just want to melt. She is just amazing. I definitely recommend.

That this book is about Ferries.

I usually like Milly's books, but this one wasnt up to par as others I've read. The story dragged on a bit at the start and was rushed midway through. I'm all for the love at first sight thing, but this scenario wasnt realistic for that to happen. For someone that never knew that fairytale creatures ACTUALLY existed, and then discovered she was kidnapped. the female lead was very accepting of the events. So much so she decided not only was she in love with the male lead, but she was going to stay with him forever, and that's after knowing him for a couple of hours? Um...🤔 Dont even get me started on the narration. The story may have been better if Milly had chosen someone else to narrate. Not a good choice there!

Not a fan

This was really predictable and the story was fast-paced enough not to really be able to get into it. The narrator is so unemotional and pretty bad at even female voices, so I’ll be avoiding her while considering future books I listen to. The characters sound like a child trying to use different voices. I wasn’t a fan of some of the dialogue, as well. “Sic ‘em, Griff!” was sooo lame, I finished the book and am still cringing. I won’t be continuing the series.

Relatively short story with a lackluster narrator

Story is good. Not a fan of the reader, she makes the story sound bland. Relationship develops faster than it feels like it should... it does have some funny moments though.

Decent
