Imani, 22, studied at the UCL Institute of Archaeology in London, and while browsing through the latest edition of The London Archaeologist, she came across an advertisement for an expedition to a newly discovered pyramid that had been covered in sand for thousands of years. She immediately applied for the position, and within weeks, we're all on their way to the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, Egypt.

Terrible entities are encountered throughout the story, but a Jinn is summoned and becomes Imani’s lover and protector. However, they must return to the pyramid to replace a box.

I really enjoy reading books about paranormal species, and this was delightful in that it keeps you guessing exactly what being a demon entails. There are also Minotaur's and other dark entities, but the main theme is battling the unseen forces. The author does a good job of describing scenes so they really can play out in your mind’s eye.

I'm not going to spoil the book much other than to say but I was really surprised by how this audio book drew me into the story. I wish that there had been a little more depth on some of the characters, however, all in all, an excellent listen. Definitely adults only.

I enjoyed this book much more than Dante's last. There was more action, definitely but that isn't why, this is an interesting subject and set in Egypt amongst other places made it quite good.
