Another Fatal Attraction

I didn’t know where this book was headed, which I guess was isn’t a bad thing. It kept me guessing, and was anything but predictable. I really wanted that best for both Monique and Darnell, but the writing was on the wall pretty early on. I’m more of a happily ever after kind of person, so it’s doubtful I would have chosen this book if I’d known where it was headed. It was a well written book, though I can’t say I’d recommend it. The narration was top notch.

Twisted

The story was so crazy. To see the woman Monique go from being lonely and the man sexually frustrates at home was so common. But the end result was unexpected

Wow

This book was not what I expected at all. I went in blind because of the narrators and wow! The twist, turns, and ending! Omg. Amazing.

Well wow. I wasn't hoping for a HEA

you know, I went in blind. Anything for Emmanuel <3.

From yhe start I wasn't feeling Mo, and then I knew she was crazy.

But I'm biased to any character Emmanuel does. he can do bo wrong.

Wow

Very deep book. Not the ending I expected but most definitely worth reading. Author did a great job with the description of each character and creative writing and storyline.

A BUILD UP FOR A HUGE LET DOWN

This book felt rushed from the “office, I love you scene.”
It felt like the writer was tired of building the characters and their stories so they rushed through it.
They only had sex once before so how is it love?
His wife wasn’t being wifely but why?
You paint her as this selfish succubus of a woman and then try to make her out to be a saint and victim in the same breath
Without going through the complexity of emotion and character traits; examples of the brokenness and possible causes of said brokenness. You told us what was wrong but not why with Mo and you showed us symptoms of the wife but not the problem. It was rushed and ultimately unsatisfying.
Shari Peele, Soozi Chanel, Whoever she wants to be ALWAYS DOES AN AMAZING JOB.
She saved this book. I’ll purchase a book just because I see she’s narrating.

Extremely Disappointed

This story and the character were both under developed! Where were the audio reviewer(s) for this audiobook. One minute she lived in a house, the next she lived in an apartment, then a house again....the friend was dating Quinton first, then she abruptly changed his name halfway through the story and started calling him Will....These were thirty-something professionals....in the first chapter Darnell spoke of his friend James never wearing condoms because James had six or seven kids with four mothers....Quinton introduces Darnell to Monique, a week later they have unprotected sex , they do all the things his wife won't do (Yes, that's right Darnell is married and everyone is aware)...Darnell and Monique participate in things that he just shouldn't do with a one night stand (yes, they agree that it will be a one night stand)....which turns into 1 more the next day in his office. She tells him she loves him ....from there things get crazy to me....The author never gave the impression that this character had mental health issues...the character Monique had all the signs and symptoms of someone with mental health issues....Darnell was this all around good guy...to his wife, son & friends and he make a bad decision to have a one night stand because he and his wife hit a rough patch after being together for 11 years and they fail to communicate with one another...The story made the wife look very self.... This story wasn't well developed at all! I'm won't give any spoiler alerts out....but, I was very unhappy with the remainder of this story....The only reason I wanted to listen is I enjoy Emmanuel Ingram's narration style.
