About this listen

Still reeling from the sexual escapades her Navy Adonis introduced her to, Tara Lynne returns home satiated and totally screwed—literally. Her violent and jealous boyfriend refuses to let go of what he clearly doesn't want—her. Now, it's up to Tara to drop the douche-baggage and move on.

And that's not as easy as it seems...

Harboring a secret from her weekend tryst, Tara embarks upon an adventure with a long-time friend, the sexy and irresistible Matt Mitchell. On a quest to reinvent herself, she finds the love she lost. And that love from the past just might be the final piece to the future she's always wanted.

Make sure you listen to Blurred Lines: a three-part Military Romance (Book one in the Point of Contact series). And then, get Sassy.

Love Triangle - May the Best Hero Win

Sassy Aphrodite and Her Sweet, Dirty Mouth continued Tara Lynne and Zack Brannon's story. Tara has traveled back to L.A. from San Diego. She knew she's going to leave her boyfriend Justin except she doesn't know when. Her resources are limited as a art student and that she hasn't work while leaving with Justin.

Justin's behavior to Tara has been demeaning. Even his friend Matt Mitchell is disgusted with Justin's behavior to her. Justin has made several excuses in being with his female biker groupies. When Tara is with Justin and his friends, he starts to get jealous when Tara talks to his friends.

When Tara caught Justin's cheating on her, Tara knew everything that Matt told her is true and that even her own suspicion is validated. Tara escaped with Matt to Portland, Oregon.

Zack "Adonis", is having his own issues. His PTSD is taken hold of his life. His Commanding Officer, his injury, and his ex-girlfriend are taking a toll on his mental and physical health. The only thing that kept him going is Tara and that one night that he spent with her. As his ex-girlfriend pushed him to his limit, he realized too late that he has destroyed his phone which is the only way his only connection to reach Tara.

Fate doesn't keep Tara and Zack apart. Just as Tara realized that she will never be able to contact Zack, she was going to plan her future with Matt. As much as Tara loves Matt, she doesn't love Matt the same way she loves Zack. There are time that I wanted Matt to be the one but Tara and Zack do belong together. I do feel sorry for Matt but Matt has decided to be Tara's best friend if he wanted to Tara to stay in his life.

Sassy Aphrodite and Her Sweet, Dirty Mouth really came through after the first three books in Blurred Lines series. I really love the ending of the Tara and Zack's story. I would love to hear Matt's story and hope he finds his happily after ending.

I do recommend that the readers/listeners read/listen to the first three books in the Blurred Lines series first to understand the dynamics of Tara and Zack's relationship. Without knowing their background information, readers/listeners can easily assumed the wrong conclusion of their relationship.

The narrator, D. Rampling does a wonderful job narrating this story. I love that the narrator reflected through her narration of Tara's growth as a person from someone who has always been dependent for someone to take care of her to getting her independence to get care of herself. Zack may be stuck in his turmoils but he also learned to seek help from his work resources and from Matt.

Love the continuation of this story!

---I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun, suspenseful, emotional, sexy listen, book 4 of the shorter Blurred lines collection. I was looking forward to seeing where the relationship of Zach and Tara would go, and it was a fun adventure. Getting to know Matt(though a little whiny at times) was a plus. He turned out to be an incredible friend to Tara and Zach once he began to work through his own feelings. I loved the interactions with Justin and their results, the slime that he is. The relationship with Tara and Zach had some emotional twists and turns. Zach is a very complex man, and as you get to know him, you can't help but love the man. Tara I think still has some maturing to do, but with the upcoming marriage and the birth of Ruby, I am sure things will work out perfectly.

D Rampling again brings this story much vibrancy with her Kentucky drawls and incredible characters.

Keep Up, Its Confusing With The Pet Names

First the bad: I could not keep up with which character was which as they had given one another nicknames but only the lovers new nicknames. I finally caught on to it about halfway through and then everyone started calling them by their given names, which confused me all over again.

By the end of the book I think I had everyone straight in my mind.

Now the good news: This was an intriguing book about a woman who is in a poor relationship and treated as such. One weekend she decides to go away and meets up with a sailor for a one night stand – no problem, right?

The Navy man, it's actually a submarine guy, I think the term used in this book was submariner. As soon as the one night stand was over he was sent on assignment. They are unaware of each others whereabouts.

The characters in this book seem to be very simple, as in simpleminded. They were rather enjoyable and it was only toward the end I realized that this is the fourth in the series. While *I was given the chance to listen to this book in exchange for my review, I really enjoyed it and I am going to look for the rest of the series on Audible and put them on my WishList.

The narration was a bit difficult to understand at times but overall was very good. The narrator had to perform both men and women, young and old while explaining what's going on in the busy story. She definitely earns four stars

Notes: mature situations, strong language, and a bit of violence
If I were to rate it like a movie, it would probably be PG-13 or R

I enjoy leaving reviews, as I know that I read them the reviews of others before I purchase a book. If you found my review helpful in your decision about this book, would you please select yes directly below this paragraph? Thank you so much.

Please consider "following me" here on Audible.com. I purchased a lot of books by authors that I am faithful to. I also have the opportunity to review books in all genres, many that I would not pick up on my own. I have been pleasantly surprised by new authors and narrators. Thanks!

No...Just No!

Narration - D. Rampling - not very good. Her narration voice is pleasant enough, and her tertiary characters are ok, when she just changes her pitch a TINY bit, but her primary characters are painful to listen to, over the top, simple minded.

At first, I thought the story was going to be ok, if I could suffer through the narration, but as it progressed, I felt that it lacked maturity - not only in the characters, but in the writing style. I really do not have anything good to say about this book, so I think I'll quit before my urge to purge really takes over and this becomes a hot mess.

I cannot recommend this book to anyone.
