He Stole My Kiss - Right Before He Stole Me.

The second my brothers ex-best friend tore off my clothes, I was obsessed. His ripped muscles, seductive smirk, and bad boy charm made my knees weak and everything else tingle ever since we were teenagers.

I always dreamed I'd become the center of his world.

I guess I should have been more specific about my wish.

He ruined me.

Then my childhood crush kidnapped me.

Now I'm a pawn in his vicious game.

He thinks he can use me as leverage. Revenge for my brothers betrayal.

I should hate him for starting this war with my family and for taking my life.

I don't.

I should resist my cravings for his rough touch, his hungry lips, and his sinful body.

I can't.

Because even though Roman Villani is evil and cold, a brutal monster who is incapable of love. It only makes me want him more.

Let me start by saying I jumped into this series on the 3rd book and I was able to follow along in the story fairly well.

This is a second chance, mafia romance. I really like Marcella. She was so tough always just going with whatever life threw at her and providing for her family. My biggest issue for me was Roman felt new to the mafia world at every turn. I feel like his inner monologue was imposter syndrome. Ultimately, I was very happy for Marcella.

The narrators did a great job

Savage Beast is the 3rd book in the Sinfully Savage series. This book is about Roman and Marchella and is told from both of their points of view.

Marchella is doing anything to survive after her father ends up in prison. She is trying to keep herself and brother afloat. While working she meets a mysterious man and has an attraction to him. She doesn't realize this man is someone she has met in the past.

When Marchella's brother steals from Roman, he decides to kidnap Marchella and keep her until he gets his stuff back. While being held captive, Marchella and Roman start to have feelings for each other. They liked each other before, but something happened that tore them apart.

As their feelings start to grow, Marchella learns things about her father and brother. Secrets come to the surface. Can Marchella and Roman get through everything that is thrown at them? Will they get their happy ending? Or is there to much stuff that will tear them apart?

Savage Beast (Sinfully Savage #3) is a dark, mafia romance.

Roman and Marchella’s book was sinfully good! Action packed and engaging storyline with strong main characters.

Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom did a really good job narrating this book and bringing these characters to life.

I really loved this one!! It is very suspense filled and kept me in my toes. I enjoyed all the characters as they all had to change as the story went along. This is a great addition to the series. I have read both previous stories and loved one while the other was just okay so I was curious how this one would turn out. I am thrilled that this kept me engaged throughout the book. I look forward to learning more about Dante. He seems very lighthearted but yet a tough guy.
Tor Thom and Sarah Puckett did a great job on the narration. I have listened to both before so I was not surprised. There are a multitude of voices for the male reader and they were all wonderfully done.

Great mafia story

This is the third book in this series and it didn't disappoint. Well not much. I don't want to give too much information, but the heroines family situation was heartbreaking. These two characters had a lot to overcome and my heart went out to them both. I loved the HEA. I look forward to the next book by this team of authors.

The narrators are two of my favorites. They gave us emotional performances that had the audiobook rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection.

I'll admit I have mixed feelings. I guess it was Roman's immaturity at times, which was part of the point of the book--him growing up-which is why I ended up settling on 4 stars (rounding up from 3.5). He definitely seemed spastic which isn't a good look on a mobster, but Marchella helped smooth those edges once he started opening up. I think that is one thing I did like about the book-they communicated although it took a bit to get there. There was definitely a lot of insane moments though, as you'd expect in a mafia story. Narrators did a good job.

Roman & Chella...

I can easily sum up Marchella "Chella" Amante. Fierce and naïve. She's fiercely protective of those she cares about, but her blinders, especially when it comes to her brother, are undoubtedly a hindrance. There are times that I also feel her naivety is a bit much.

Then there is Roman Villani. There are times when I have similar thoughts about him. In his case, him trying to shed his enforcer mentality has him getting caught up in his own makings. I do like him despite his faults.

Although I definitely liked this book, there are some unnecessary repetitions and timeline discrepancies. Ignoring them is easy enough, but it still strikes a nerve.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Tor Thom and Sarah Puckett, are really good. With different accents, it would've been really awesome if this was in duet. I still enjoyed their efforts.

It's impossible not to love Tor Thom and Sarah Puckett, they're both incredibly talented voice artists and I appreciate all the extra work they put into the Italian accents. Admittedly, though, I did find it sort of jarring to have Roman's voice switch accents when speaking vs when just in the narration of his POV. I can totally understand why that choice was made, but it definitely took some getting used to. His accent was good, though, so no complaints there. Who doesn't want that deep growly voice speaking in an Italian accent in their ear for 8 hours?

Story-wise: This was complex and captivating. There are a lot of elements at work here. The MC and FMC have known each other since childhood and were definitely into each other back then, but family stuff tore them apart and they're supposed to hate each other which leads to a sort of second chance/enemies to lovers/childhood sweethearts kind of thing that give all the angst you really want in a dark romance. Roman is a true anti-hero. He's not a good guy. He has no problem with his job in the mafia and no qualms about seriously f**king someone up. Personally, that's my favorite kind of hero. I'm a sucker for a villain, and he toes that line really well. As for the FMC, (I don't know how to spell her name, so I'm not going to try), she's a strong and sassy girl that's not going to let anyone get away with things... mostly. She has a loyalty to what's left of her family that really does blind her in her life. But, she doesn't stop moving forward, which I really liked.

This story ended with an HEA, and a lead in to the 4th book in the series. I hadn't read the first two books, and had no trouble at all following along with the story. All the family dynamics and relationships were easy to keep up with and understand, although I'm sure having those first two would certainly enhance the story--it's not a must if you haven't.

Roman is a bit all over the place in his emotions which isn't a good look for a mobster, but it works out. Marchella is desperately trying to hold everything together, but she can't catch a break. They knew each other growing up but because of their families couldn't peruse their feelings at the time. When they reconnect, he ends up kidnapping her and things heat up from there. I think Roman is very conflicted because of this past and Marchella helps him work through some of those emotions. Marchella needs someone to put her first and support her. Roman can be that man for her but he has to work through being who he thinks he should be and who he wants to be. Overall, I enjoyed the audiobook, it did take me a minute to get used to the accents used. I think the narrators did a good job.
