About this listen

He Stole My Kiss - Right Before He Stole Me.

The second my brothers ex-best friend tore off my clothes, I was obsessed. His ripped muscles, seductive smirk, and bad boy charm made my knees weak and everything else tingle ever since we were teenagers.

I always dreamed I'd become the center of his world.

I guess I should have been more specific about my wish.

He ruined me.

Then my childhood crush kidnapped me.

Now I'm a pawn in his vicious game.

He thinks he can use me as leverage. Revenge for my brothers betrayal.

I should hate him for starting this war with my family and for taking my life.

I don't.

I should resist my cravings for his rough touch, his hungry lips, and his sinful body.

I can't.

Because even though Roman Villani is evil and cold, a brutal monster who is incapable of love. It only makes me want him more.

SAVAGE BEAST is the third book in the SINFULLY SAVAGE series by USA Today Bestselling Author Kristen Luciani. This Dark Mafia Enemies to Lovers Forbidden Romance is a standalone suspense novel, complete with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers.

I'll admit I have mixed feelings. I guess it was Roman's immaturity at times, which was part of the point of the book--him growing up-which is why I ended up settling on 4 stars (rounding up from 3.5). He definitely seemed spastic which isn't a good look on a mobster, but Marchella helped smooth those edges once he started opening up. I think that is one thing I did like about the book-they communicated although it took a bit to get there. There was definitely a lot of insane moments though, as you'd expect in a mafia story. Narrators did a good job.

Let me start by saying I jumped into this series on the 3rd book and I was able to follow along in the story fairly well.

This is a second chance, mafia romance. I really like Marcella. She was so tough always just going with whatever life threw at her and providing for her family. My biggest issue for me was Roman felt new to the mafia world at every turn. I feel like his inner monologue was imposter syndrome. Ultimately, I was very happy for Marcella.

Savage Beast is the 3rd book in the Sinfully Savage series. This book is about Roman and Marchella and is told from both of their points of view.

Marchella is doing anything to survive after her father ends up in prison. She is trying to keep herself and brother afloat. While working she meets a mysterious man and has an attraction to him. She doesn't realize this man is someone she has met in the past.

When Marchella's brother steals from Roman, he decides to kidnap Marchella and keep her until he gets his stuff back. While being held captive, Marchella and Roman start to have feelings for each other. They liked each other before, but something happened that tore them apart.

As their feelings start to grow, Marchella learns things about her father and brother. Secrets come to the surface. Can Marchella and Roman get through everything that is thrown at them? Will they get their happy ending? Or is there to much stuff that will tear them apart?

I really loved this one!! It is very suspense filled and kept me in my toes. I enjoyed all the characters as they all had to change as the story went along. This is a great addition to the series. I have read both previous stories and loved one while the other was just okay so I was curious how this one would turn out. I am thrilled that this kept me engaged throughout the book. I look forward to learning more about Dante. He seems very lighthearted but yet a tough guy.
Tor Thom and Sarah Puckett did a great job on the narration. I have listened to both before so I was not surprised. There are a multitude of voices for the male reader and they were all wonderfully done.

Great mafia story

This is the third book in this series and it didn't disappoint. Well not much. I don't want to give too much information, but the heroines family situation was heartbreaking. These two characters had a lot to overcome and my heart went out to them both. I loved the HEA. I look forward to the next book by this team of authors.

The narrators are two of my favorites. They gave us emotional performances that had the audiobook rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection.

This was fast-paced, where most of the story took place in the span of 3-4 days. There is nothing wrong with that. However, I did feel it was missing something. I wasn't able to connect with the characters. Both were really annoying. I enjoyed Dante, the brother, more and look forward to reading his story. The way Roman kept going back and forth and Chella with having blinders on when it came to her brother. How did she expect him to be just let go after what he did, and on top of that, have an attitude about it.

The narration was well done. Definitely enjoy listening to these narrators.

Roman is a bit all over the place in his emotions which isn't a good look for a mobster, but it works out. Marchella is desperately trying to hold everything together, but she can't catch a break. They knew each other growing up but because of their families couldn't peruse their feelings at the time. When they reconnect, he ends up kidnapping her and things heat up from there. I think Roman is very conflicted because of this past and Marchella helps him work through some of those emotions. Marchella needs someone to put her first and support her. Roman can be that man for her but he has to work through being who he thinks he should be and who he wants to be. Overall, I enjoyed the audiobook, it did take me a minute to get used to the accents used. I think the narrators did a good job.

Roman and Marchella
3.5*

I enjoyed some of it but I wasn't a big fan of the voice the narrators gave Roman but that's just my preference.

I thought this slow burn mafia romance was good. These two knew each other when they were younger until Chella's dad betrayed Roman's. Love when the brothers bantered. In this one Roman is in charge as Matteo is in Vegas which is revealed in book 2. This can be read/listened to as a standalone but there are some references as to what happened in the other stories. I'm not sure about Chella because even though I felt bad for her and everything that happened and was happening I found her to be a bit clueless especially when she grew up in the life and how she just brushed off her questioning about her dad and his doings and then her brother. I found her to be aggravating too when she blamed other people for her family's doing and expected them to just give them a free pass. Look forward to reading/listening to Dante's story.

I jumped into this series with this book, and even without reading the previous installments, I didn’t feel lost. That said, I do think I would’ve had a deeper understanding of Roman’s character if I had read the earlier books first. There’s a strong sense of camaraderie between Roman and his brothers, but it felt like he spent much of the story questioning whether he truly belonged in the mafia world. At times, I half-expected him to walk away from that life entirely, as he often seemed to be floundering.

Because of this inner conflict, I think his character arc might have carried more weight had I been familiar with his journey from the beginning. Still, this was an engaging listen that absolutely makes me want to go back and catch up on the first two books. The narrators delivered a fantastic performance that brought the characters and story to life.

Pretty Good Mafia romance

This is book 3 in Luciani's Sinfully Savage Mafia series. A great addition to the series that can be read / listened to as a standalone if you wanted. This book focus' on Roman and Chella. I loved how these two had a shared past. The chemistry between them was there from the start and while Chella didn't recognize Roman immediately it didn't matter the fuse was already lit so to speak. This was an enemy's to lover's mafia read with some dark aspects but also some light moments too. The family dynamic for both of these main characters was complex and I appreciated how Luciani brought that out. The dual narration was well done but the accent that came in and out was a bit distracting for me personally, but I loved the vocals, pitch and tone that the narrators brought to these characters as well as the smoothness as well. I thought that overall, this book was well balanced with dark mafia aspects as well as redemption qualities good, sweet and steam balance as well. Well written and storyline flowed smoothly. Definitely looking forward to book 4 and Dante's journey!
