About this listen

The best things come in threes!

Kayla has no choice but to return to the place she never really called home. Her ex-stepfather, Daniel, has news of her money-chasing mom.

Parker, son of her mom's new husband, has come to demand that Kayla expose her mom for the lying, scheming woman she is.

When Daniel reveals the real relationship he had with her mom, their secret desire for each other is a secret no more.

But Kayla likes Parker too....

Part of a series of stand-alones about three roommates and their journeys to find love.

I received this audiobook from @AudiobookObsession for an honest review.

This was one of the first MFM romance novels I have listened to. It is a short listen and very mild compared to other MFM books. I have to say at first I was taken back by one of the relationships but as the characters started to evolve I loved the storyline more and more. The relationship at first seemed to be an enemy trying to get the upper hand and perhaps a teenage fantasy but once all the cards were out on the table it turned out to be nothing of the sort. I enjoyed the acceptance of the MFM throughout the book from all the characters.

MFM Romance

The performance was good, especially the female narrator. The story line and plot was good. The execution of that story wasn’t great. Even though there was a happy ending it still felt unsatisfactory. There was too much talk about the semantics of the relationship and not enough emotional payoff. I’m not reading a book to get negotiations about who sleeps where, I’m reading to feel something and it’s just fell flat at the end.

Mediocre
