About this listen

One contract.
One billionaire.

Charming. Devastatingly handsome. Ridiculously rich. Kristoff Baldwin came without warning. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, and before I could even realize the impact he was making, I was too far gone, despite knowing the consequences of falling.

A future together was the impossible dream. My past haunted me and even he had ghosts of his own.

Then everything changed when his past came after me and my daughters.

There are disguised blessings in every tragedy. Although I can’t help but wonder if my tragedy is about to destroy a once in a lifetime chance at love.

steamy office romance

A billionaire, steamy, office romance and a single mom.
Kristoff is a stern boss, who knows what he wants. When Gemma applied for a job being his pa, she refused at first. He made an arrangement she couldn't refuse.
Miscommunication, and both have hurts in the past that makes it difficult to trust. Another great story by Eva Winners.
Troy Duran and MacKenzie Cartwright brought the characters to life. Troys depiction of Kristoff is exactly as i pictured, with his swoony, deep, growly voice.
Mackenzie Cartwright gave Gemma the sweetness and strength to portray her character. Both are very talented voice actors.
very well done

New Author to me.. Eva Winners is fantastic!

I have many thoughts about this book. So here we go...
It's really long. Longer than I thought it should be. It's also good though.
This was my first read by Eva Winners and the entire time I just kept thinking, how have I never heard of her?! She's a great author and I wasn't even halfway through this book and I knew I would read ALL her books.

Kristoff was posessive, damaged, and hot hot hot. Gemma was a single mom with serious baggage and mistrust which is to be expected after all she's been through.
There's a lot of miscommunications and frustrating moments in the long book where you think wtf, but in the end I really enjoyed the book and obviously I moved on to the next, Contract of a Billionaire (Alessio Russo and Autumn's story)!

This book was steamy steamy steamy! There was chemistry, connection, angst, and fireworks. The build up was there and BOOM.... 💥 🔥 .

Troy Duran as a narrator is 🤤 🔥 , he's just swoon worthy! MacKenzie Cartwright nailed Gemma and was able to not make her sound whiny, which is a pet peeve for me personally.

Plot- ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 4.5/5 (only because it was too long)
Steam- 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 5/5 🥵
Narration- ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 5/5

Steamy Billionaire romance

Wow! What a steamy romance listen. Winners delivers a well written romance that captivated me with its smooth flowing storyline and amazingly strong characters. Dual narration by the fantastic talents of Troy Duran and MacKenzie Cartwright brought characters to life. I think I swooned a little at the Duran's voice as Kristof, deep, raspy and authoritative, just like this character and Cartwright did a great job as Gemma, sounding sweet yet strong and protective. These main characters both holding on to past hurts and trauma that makes trusting others all but impossible but the chemistry between the two is undeniable. Some miscommunications, outside interference and frankly some duh, I messed up moments interfere with a quick and simple HEA but isn't that just like life - a bit messy but hopefully in the end the right exception comes along and breaks all the rules you put in place to guard your heart. Loved the title, these characters and the storyline. Sweet and steamy as well as emotional. A great listen! I can't wait to see what's next from Winners!

Good but.. drawn out

Book 3 stars
Audiobook 4.5 stars

This book I enjoyed for awhile and then.. it sadly got repetitive and longer than needed. The main characters had the same issue of miscommunication and crazy levels of jealousy on the mmc’s side that continued to cause problems and draw this book out.

Audiobook - duet narration, with Troy Duran who is an instant download for me. I thought they did a great job!

Love it

A really good story about a sexy billionaire and a single mother. There is instant chemistry between the main characters that's off the charts. Trust issues, jealous and miscommunication is also part of the storyline but ultimately get their HEA. Felt the story was longer than necessary but still enjoyable.

Great narration by Troy Duran and MacKenzie Cartwright. My first Eva Winners book but won't be my last.

Eva does it again!

This book was amazing. As usual, Eva delivers a story that is engaging and kept me listening. The narrators delivered a great performance!

I was drawn in by Belles & Monsters, but this author continues to deliver fantastic stories. I can't wait for more books in this series.

Hot and bothered, I can easily melt away..

Great story, great characters, and superb narration.
This was so difficult to put down. almost listened all the way through.
I adore both Gemma and Kristoff, they are great together. The story built up with heat slowly but surely.
At times wasn't sure there would be a happy end.
but it all came together....they came together!

New author to me 😍

This was my first book by this author and she has caught me up in her webs and now I want to listen to more in this series! I think it was a combination of the story and the narrators performances that made me fall for this world and these characters ❤️

I thought the concept was a little farfetched but the relationship building was done so well I could overlook it (and it’s fiction anyway haha). I wanted to shake our man a lot in this book and Gem was an adorable leading lady and an amazing mom and I felt so bad for her in some of the tougher scenes and flashbacks. I loved that she stood up to Kristoff but also allowed herself to be vulnerable with him and allow herself to fall in love. She was feisty but so relatable. I loved how she wanted to not be sucked into the lifestyle of the rich and the famous but it was nice to see her be pampered after what her previous put her and the kids through. I also enjoyed the Kristoff didnt just see her as an executive assistant, but got her involved with the mergers/acquisitions and used her finance background and not just as a coffee maker/paper pusher. I was over the whole jealousy thing like Gem was like halfway through haha. I was a little worried that Gem’s guy friend would turn out to be sleezy/a bad guy but I was happy when that wasnt the case. I do wish we got to see Kristoff taking down his ex though, after what she did to Gem time and time again. The steam and tension was amazing, just enough to have that angst but also he took care of her with his Dom tendencies. AND I loved this was based on where I am from (Maryland/DC area). When the author mentions the Bay and Annapolis I couldnt help but smile. I didnt realize I would enjoy that but definitely did, especially with her place looking over the water 😍

I enjoyed the side characters so much in this one too, so I hope they get their own stories too! The kids were so incredibly adorable and I love when they don’t have filters haha. I liked seeing Kristoff adjust and fit into that role so well with them. They suctioned themselves to him real quick and it was cute to see him handle a meltdown or show how much they missed each other. Swoooooon ❤️. I also enjoyed Kristoff’s mom (especially when she called about the reveal later, made me teary eyed) and Jack’s mom, who has been great despite what her son did/was a terrible human being. I didnt connect/like so much Betty and her hubby though. I also liked the other assistant, she was so much fun, brought levity and like an older sister vibe (how she comforted her when Kristoff tried to make her jelly and it backfired). They elevated this storyline with how frustrating her could be haha.

Narration was fabulous on this one, no critique from me (which rarely happens haha). I loved every second of it and I was a little overwhelmed when I saw how big the audiobook was but then I was dreading it being over because it was done so well. I’ve listened to both of the narrators before and they didnt disappoint. I loved the duet narration, it helped keep everyone in the world without having issues with male voices doing female and vice versa. The emotions in this performance were perfect. I swooned, got super sad, frustrated, angry, giggled, and these narrators did what they are paid to do and more and brought these characters to life and really diving deep into their characters. 5/5 for narration 😊
