About this listen
Abigail’s had a crush on Mackenzie, the motorcycle courier, for months, but Mackenzie doesn’t even know she exists. Nothing exists for Mackenzie, though, except for her pride and joy - her Ducati Monster.
After an unpleasant encounter, Abigail decides to get her own back on Mackenzie - in the worst possible way. Despite the pleas of her colleagues, Abigail plans to hide Mackenzie’s precious motorbike and take the haughty so-and-so down a peg or two.
Naturally, when Mackenzie discovers her bike is gone, there are fireworks. It’s April 1, so she suspects trickery rather than criminal activity, but that doesn’t mean the person responsible will be getting off lightly....
©2017 Lucy Felthouse (P)2018 Lucy FelthouseAbigail, who had a wicked crush on the younger Mackenzie, finally gets up the nerve to make a move. She is sorely rebuffed leading her to attempt the epic revenge. Mackenzie, who has had negative experiences with women pretending to be interested as an office dare, doubts Abigail’s attraction when the older woman approaches her, so she blows her off! Big mistake!!
As always the narrator was wonderful and really made the story pop. I loved the way she differentiated the two women.

As the majority of the story is world-building and setting the scene, there’s not much of a payout at the end. It feels more like reading the first chapter of what would likely be a very steamy novel.
My favorite aspect of this story is the narrator. She really makes the older female protagonist believable and does a good job of breathing life into the characters. The most lacking aspect of the narration is her Scottish accent.
