About this listen

Camilla can set her watch by her hunky rocket-scientist neighbor who jogs past her window each day. She relishes each glimpse of his shirtless abs, and is dying to see more. But it's hard to connect with a man who doesn't seem to know she exists....

Ivan feels at home in the lab, not in social situations. When he finally approaches his attractive neighbor, it's not for a date - he wants tutoring in how to behave at an important fundraiser. Ivan doesn't expect the chemistry between them to be quite so explosive, and is surprised when Cami actually accepts his proposal to embark on a series of "lessons".

Cami soon discovers Ivan's schedule isn't the only thing he likes to be strict about - he needs to be charge in the bedroom as well. She's shocked at how much she comes to enjoy her submissive side, but wonders if a real relationship is in the equation....

cool narrator but the story was a little dull

What aspect of Clarissa Knightly’s performance would you have changed?

She did not keep a mono tone feel through out the story . She would change her voice slightly to go with the scene

The Theory of unbelievable and just ok

Thank goodness this book was short. There isn't much of a story there and the narration isn't the best. I just found it hard to believe Ivan had a secret side to him. He just seemed too socially clueless to be that "in-charge" in the bedroom. I would rate this book as just OK. Not the worst I've read but not the best either.

Good storyline with a lot of hard core passion.

I love romance but sometimes I just want the characters to get straight to the point.

A suprise read!

I actually really like this. I liked Ivan's character more than I really wanted too. I think he had asperser’s syndrome or something, but he was a rocket genius with a bdsm kink at the same time. I mean Ivan was a totally brilliantly hot character. The story had a nice plot, but I think the writer could have done more with why Ivan needed the Clara's help...

Any story read by Clarissa Knightly ups it by like 2 stars... she just brings the sexuality up in any story she reads, literally.

Yummy scientist Dom!!!!

Some may not find this 5 star worthy but I am a scientist and really connected with this story. Other reviewers found the premise implausible that a socially awkward and inept man could be a Dom, I didn't! When you skip grades and are a genius it usually comes at a price and that price for Ivan in this book is that social niceties don't make sense to him, but he needs to adapt in order to get funds to fuel his research.

His teacher that he seeks out is a girl who while a nerd has adapted to social norms and can explain it to Ivan...what she wasn't expecting was the amount of total control Ivan has in ALL aspects of his life....I found it plausible that Ivan was a Dom because there can't be lies in that type of relationship, no white lies, no half truths, your body either responds or it doesn't, there is no guessing.

For me this book was awesome, I already down loaded number two, sincerely hope for more!

Dawn's Review of The Theory of Attraction

Ivan and Camilla are an odd pair. The story goes through a period of time that they make a deal to help Ivan learn to be "normal" in social situations. The book is quirky and cute. It's a fun read/listen if you've got some time to kill.

Great story with a Geek BDSM hero! :D

4.5-5 stars

This was a very good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Cami and Ivan are a good combo and I was totally rooting for them.

Cami lives next door to Ivan. The area she lives in has a lot of "Geek" type men as neighbors, many of whom end up hanging at her place a lot. Ivan is among the people that hang out but he's never shown any interest in her as a woman. She's convinced he feels nothing for her; unfortunately for her, she totally has the hots for him. Things change when Ivan asks her to help him learn to socialize better in an effort to do better at fundraisers for work.

Ivan is literally a rocket scientist. He graduated from college with his undergrad at 15 (and that's only because his parents held him back). He's very smart but seems to almost be slightly autistic. He reminds me of a hotter version of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. He has a strict schedule and regulation of most things in his life in an effort to control the world around him. I guess because of this it shouldn't be surprising that he feels the need to control things in sexual situations as well which is why Ivan feels comfortable with BDSM, as a Dom he has control.

TBH, I'm not sure if Ivan set up the lessons to try to get in to a relationship with Cami or he really just wanted the lessons and the relationship just came about...or maybe a combo of both (I suspect this one). Cami has no real knowledge of BDSM so it's interesting to see them explore it together while she's also trying to teach him how to behave better around others.I really liked Ivan and Cami and was happy to see them together. Of course there were difficulties because Ivan just doesn't comprehend certain things about women and relationships which leads to some issues/misunderstandings that need to be worked out.

I really enjoyed this story. I think that Cami and Ivan are a great couple and I really liked reading their story. This was good enough that I'm planning to read the next in the series. I'm glad I bought this, it was worth the read. I'd recommend it. Thumbs up! :D

Trying to be Fifty and failing

This is Fifty meets the Big Bang Therory. In truth if I did not already read the Shades of Gray series I may have liked it better... But there were so many direct rip offs that it took away from an already just ok book
