About this listen
Welcome to the sensual world of This Man...
Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward - a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries.
Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

This Man - Book One in The This Man Trilogy
He is very tall. His white shirt is casually rolled at the sleeves, but he still wears a black tie, loosely knotted and hanging down the front of a broad chest."
"His dirty blonde hair looks like he's half attempted to get it into some semblance of a style but given up. His eyes are sludgy green, but bright and way too intense, and the stubble covering his square jaw does nothing to conceal the handsome features beneath it. He's lightly tanned and just... Oh God, He's devastating."
Meet Jesse Ward ... The Lord of the Manor
This seductive, erotic, frustrating, flirty, dominating, mind blowing, body tingling story will make you wish Jesse Ward were real and not a fictional character. The first book in the This Man Trilogy introduces you to Ava an ambitious, young woman making her mark in the world of interior design. Just off of a bad break-up, Ava has decided to focus on her career and stay man free for a while. Enter Jesse Ward, the Lord of the Manor, who hires Ava to work on his hotel. To say that sparks fly would be an understatement. The electricity between Ava and Jesse explodes taking you on a ride that you never want to end.
"This man is so perfect, I'm almost in pain."
The character development in this book is spot on, and you can visualize all of the characters created within this story. Larger than life characters to the bit players within the story, there is no detail that has been left unturned. You will find characters you would love to be friends with, characters you love to hate and hate to love. Characters that frustrate you, confuse you, and turn you on and turn your world upside down.
With brilliant descriptions of the places within this story, you are provided with a perfect visual in your mind from the words provided by the author.
Explosive is the word that would best describe the physical relationship between Jesse and Ava. With a bit of creativity the author transports us into the hot, sensual, erotic, and dominating world that is Jesse Ward. Creatively unique, heart stopping, body tingling, and wanting are a few words that come to mind.
Jesse wants Ava. Ava can't resist Jesse. There are secrets that need to be told. There are twists and turns that will have you reading faster than your eyes can move. This story tempts, teases, and makes you want for more. I guarantee that once you finish book one, you will not be able to download book two fast enough.
To uncover the secrets yet to be revealed, to entice your body and mind into the heart stopping allure of Jesse Ward, and to find out how Ava deals with all she has been dealt, don't miss the second and third book is this amazing story.

Love! Love! Love! this series.
If you could sum up This Man in three words, what would they be?
Crazy Mad God
Who was your favorite character and why?
Both Jesse and Ava - Maybe Jesse just that little bit more. He is so passionate, sexy and just so unrelenting countdowns and all. 3 2 1 0
Have you listened to any of Edita Brychta’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have seen her in many television programs. This is my first Audio book with her narration and I thought she was bloody brilliant. "MOUTH" Ava ...hahahah....
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wish I could have but I never would have that sort of time.
Any additional comments?
I have read this series 3 times before and have been waiting for a long while for its release down here in Australia. I must have missed it when it was first released and found it by accident so I purchased all 3. Jodie is a great author and hopefully her next series will be just as good if not better!. Jesse will always rate in my top 5. <3 <3 <3

No. Best for Insomniacs
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A better narrator and oh, a better story.
What was most disappointing about Jodi Ellen Malpas’s story?
It was boring. How it goes for 17 hours is completely beyond me as I didn't get past the 8th. I do hope another reviewer who liked this book can tell me what happened at the end.
What character would you cut from This Man?
The Man.
Any additional comments?
I know its different strokes for different folks (pun intended). But this seemed like a poor and very tired persons version of the SOG trilogy.
