About this listen

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the first novel in the Crossfire series - a provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon.

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds...and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...

What a difference a voice makes...

I don't like 50shades. At all.
And while there is similarity here, this is definitely better than 50. But I am writing this review mostly to praise the narrator's performance. It is absolutely stellar!

Also Sylvia Day is an actual author, so the book is written much better as well.

Jill Redfield is fantastic!

of course we all listen to this for the sexy parts, not the story...but overall this is an okay read. And not quite as dark as the grey books.

fun and sexy but predictible

I was a fan of fifty shades but i read this book i turn coat. This book is so well written that you will not be able to stop listening. I like the fax that is it not all able a troubled man who is ready to fall in love. But of to messed up individuals trying to live as normal life with each other. There are a lot of similarities with fifty shades that you at times will feel you are reading the same book but the characters will say something or the writer will describe a scene and you knew that there is something different.

I also like that fact the sidekick/best friend has his own issues to work out. I thought the characters were likeable.

Give this book a try just so you can choose which one is better.
Sexy men, conflict, and mind involving story.

I think its a good read. Hope you agree and enjoy:0)

If you like Fifty shades this is better!!!!!!

I enjoyed "Bared to You" but no more (maybe not as much) as "Fifty Shades of Grey". I'm not sure why Ms. Day wrote "Bared to You" other than to possibly show up E.L. James. Ms. Day's writing is better but when you compare the number of novels she has written to the number E.L. James has written, she should write better, much better.

Original???

Would you try another book from Sylvia Day and/or Jill Redfield?

Predictable and boring

Has Bared to You turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes.

Did Jill Redfield do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Nope

Any additional comments?

Rich people having sex and their perfect cars with their perfect jobs. Wearing perfect clothes....etc.

Boring

Not if she doesn't have any original thoughts

Would you recommend Bared to You to your friends? Why or why not?

No - It was a disappointment; I won't buy the next book in the series.

What three words best describe Jill Redfield’s voice?

I didn't really like her voice in the passion scenes.

Did not meet my expectations at all. Judging by the reviews, I expected this book to be extremely well written but that is not the case.

The entire book read like a rush job!!!

I won't be reading the rest of this series.

This story was so repetitive in sex that it weakened the story line for me. I did enjoy the ending, otherwise I would have given it a 2-star story rating.

Unnecessary overkill sex!

I liked the book. That being said, it was a ripoff of the Stark Trilogy and 50 shades. Super predictable. I'd pass on this for another one...

meh

While the story itself is not bad, it really follows a parralel road to Fifty Shades. Erotic scenes were good. The narrator was good. I actually like the way Sylvia Day writes her story better than the way E.L. James writes hers. I would definately recommend this book over Fifty.

Another 50 Shades
