Going to the gym has never been this much fun.
My New Year’s resolution was to start exercising.
I never expected to meet the men of my dreams.
Yet, now that I’m going to Rocky Mountain Fitness every day?
I’m getting sweaty with three of the sexiest guys imaginable.
Finn, the jacked personal trainer whose shorts cling to his muscular body so tightly it leaves nothing to the imagination. He stretches me out before each workout and then spots me while I lift weights, gently touching my body to arrange me in just the right position.
Max, the tall, gorgeous spin instructor with a quick wit and sarcastic smile. He finds new ways to raise my pulse and make me sweat - and only some of them take place on a spin machine.
Brody, the handsome gym member with crystal-blue eyes and a body covered with lean muscle, flirts with me every time we cross paths. But we’re competing against each other in the gym’s quarterly points contest, and he has discovered a scintillating new way of distracting me....
My three dedicated athletes find unique ways to send me to bed sore each night.
From harmless hot tub flirting, to very personal training sessions, to long sports massages that soothe my aching muscles.
But one of them is harboring a dark secret.
And the truth is so shocking it will destroy everything I thought I knew about love.
As our feelings grow more serious, how can I possibly choose between these three amazing men?
Or in the end, will they decide for me?
Trained at the Gym is a sizzling, stand-alone reverse-harem love story with enough gym-related action to get your heart racing. HEA guaranteed!

Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Katherine - she owns a record store and since vinyl records are making a comeback, she is doing very well. She is even expanding to audiobooks. Running your own business has meant working long days with not much time off. Her brother got her a gym membership for Christmas, at the big gym down the street from her record store. She knew she needed to make some changes in her life, so decided to use it and get her brother’s money’s worth.
The Heroes:
Finn - he is a personal trainer with the big muscular body to match.
Max - he is a spin instructor with plenty of enthusiasm. He is training for the Kona triathlon in Hawaii, it is the Iron Man world championship. He used to be a stock market trader.
Brody - he is a member of the gym and works out for hours a day since he is training for a triathlon in San Francisco where the swim is from Alcatraz. He is a data analyst and works on his computer, so can basically work from anywhere, so can work while on an exercise machine.
The Story: After a few days of making excuses for not going to the gym, Katherine is walking by one day and goes in because she sees a hot guy coming out. She takes the tour of the gym with the handsome trainer Finn and finds that her platinum membership comes with quite a bit of extras including 5 smoothies a week at the nutrition bar, entry into any of the classes, and lots of hours with a personal trainer. She finds that they give points for each exercise and every minute on each machine, and the winner at the end of each quarter gets a prize and their name on the wall. She learns that a guy named Brody is winning this quarter.
Katherine starts the next day, on New Year’s Day. She was not too fond of learning that she had trouble doing a 5K which was what she ran as a warmup when she was in college, but she made it through, then lifted weights with Finn for an hour after that. They had a smoothie together as well and she gained quite a few points while doing it. She also got to know her competition for points, Brody Forrester.
I am not sure how much I liked this story at first. It made me feel guilty for not getting on my Boflex machine. So, I started working out while listening. I guess I just don’t like being guilted into it. Anyway, the story was good. As always, Cassie Cole does a lot of research on her topics and gets all of the details correct. The storyline about the big chain vinyl record store opening across the street from hers was good. It kills me that people do that on purpose to put the little guy out of business. I guessed early on that there would be more to that storyline. I didn’t really like the way Katherine pretty much gave up on her store, just expecting to go out of business after the chain store opened. I also didn’t really like the way she and the guys hooked up on the gym premises. It might seem hot for some people, but for me it just seemed childish.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and was narrated in dual narration by Senn Anis and Curt Bonnem. Senn has a nice voice, and she is good at using different voices for different characters. Though there isn’t really anything about her voice that stands out, so she isn’t one of my favorite female narrators. Curt Bonnem is good as well but isn’t in my list of top male narrators. You can definitely tell he is reading and has a bit of a slow tempo that I am not all that fond of.

BUT. With all that said, I’m still a big fan of this author. Some books just don’t stand out for some people and this is one of those for me. If you’ve liked her other books, you won’t be disappointed. Narrators did a top notch job as per usual.
It was OK
