Tanna Barker is a world-champion barrel racer. But her personal life has been less of a success, and she's feeling adrift. After her mother's unexpected death, her father has remarried and sold the Texas ranch she called home. Now a rodeo injury has left the restless spitfire holed up in Muddy Gap, unsure what her next move should be.
Veterinarian August Fletcher has always put his job first. He's never found a woman who could handle his on-the-road lifestyle. But when sassy, sexy Tanna blows into town, he finally finds the woman of his fantasies. And there's something between them, but she claims she's been burned by love-'em-and-leave-'em road dogs before. How can Fletch prove that he's in it for the long haul, and that their sizzling relationship is better than winning any rodeo medal? It'll take some sweet persuasion to convince Tanna that Muddy Gap is where she belongs.

Would you listen to Turn and Burn again? Why?
yes, as our hero Flect is so hunky! They just do not get any sexier than this manWhat does Scarlet Chase bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have most of these books, but I am listening out of order. This one was just so good asthe author got her groove in this one #5. #2 is also very good. She has a big range so lots of characters are ok for her.Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
when our hero, helps put a dog to sleep...get a tissue. When Tana goes and gets her man.The dialogue between her and the man stealer is great.Any additional comments?

Fletch's efforts to help Tanna back into the saddle because it was what she needed even though it might lead her away from him made you willing to forgive his moments of jealousy and foolish need to keep his feelings bottled up.
Tanna's maturing as their relationship evolved and she slowly healed from her trauma were a special insight into how a relationship can change person.
Yes all the smoking hot sex is still there it is a James book after all but unlike some of her other work were you can just insert a sexy cowboy and woman that like to be tied up and spanked these books have depth of character. The women are likable the men capable of seeing to more than their woman's sexual needs.
Fiesty Sexy and Tender
