About this listen

Danger and desire...for one Interstellar Bride, they prove an irresistible mix.

Whitney Mason is the daughter of a Wall Street con man. When he is sent to prison and her family’s name is destroyed, she is eager for a new life on a new world. Anywhere but Earth. Tested by the Interstellar Brides Program, she is matched to a strong Viken warrior. What she doesn’t know is that her mate and the other two warriors waiting to claim her are on a secret and dangerous mission for the Coalition Fleet’s Intelligence Core. From the moment she arrives on Viken, they are forced to lie to her...about everything...except their desire.

For Alarr, Oran, and Teig, the arrival of a bride is an unexpected complication. The timing couldn’t be worse, but IC command is thrilled. A bride is the perfect cover, giving the fighters access to every inch of the famous pleasure resort where they are working undercover. The males are eager to satisfy their new mate, but keeping her safe is their top priority, even if that means lying to her and using her pleasure to take down the enemy. But their sexy mate’s past will come back to haunt them all, for even if they survive the mission, the truth will be revealed and their beautiful, curvy female can forgive anything - except lies.

Could have been so much better!

I have to agree with the other reviews. The female narrator was awful. I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks but this one was ruined by the female narrator.

voices not right.

The narrators are not right for this story. The woman never made me believe her.
Sadly, because this story was so different from the others, the lack of feelings from the narrators, especially the woman, that you couldn't get into the story.

Another weird narration

The male narrations were fine, but the cadence of the female narrator was not good at all. Each sentence is choppy and she’s supposed to be the character with the speech that flows the best. I’d understand if it was one of the Viken, obviously they wouldn’t speak as fluidly. Shame, because I really enjoyed this storyline.

Horrible Narration

It was an Interstellar Brides book as normal but the narration was horrible, especially the female - she was so blah with no emotion, you could tell she was just reading it. Not impressed with the men narrators either

agree with the other reviews

The female narrator was the snag. no emotion, so flat and droning...I felt like I was being read to by a teacher's assistant, except for the blatant content/ BDSM soft. I have enjoyed these in the series, more for the psychological exploration of the various species and plots that please this Trekkie.

Viken

Another alien I don’t know how you always come up with something new. I was hoping it would continue on but ended when they had mated

The female narrator wasn't my favorite.

This story was different, which I liked. But the female narrator's reading wasn't as good.

confusion of lies

Whitney Mason just wants to leave Earth after suffering public humiliation, skepticism, and outright hatred resulting from the illegal activities of her family. She can’t get a job or a date. She has no future there.
She accepts a match with Viken but is thrown into their active investigation into gun smuggling. Alarr, Oran & Teig are ordered to keep this information from Whitney which results in lies and using her for misdirection. When Whitney finds evidence of their activities, her hurt and anger propel her into running, which endangers her life.
I have to say that this story has started a real hate-on for I.C.’s director Doctor H.
I really like narration with multiple voices and all four participants have good voices. But - Ms Jones felt like she was reading the story out loud to someone. Good narrators disappear into the story.

Blah Narrator

The storyline was fine. The only problem with this book is the substandard narration of Honey Jones; so dry and lifeless, sounds like she is reading rather than acting. She is the same way no matter what she reads; she is not recommended for any books. Not sure why she was selected for this book because she is awful. Will avoid books using her for narration in the future. Nicole Small or Morae Brehon would have been much better. I can’t finish this book because it is so bad. Too bad because the storyline seems interesting. Liam and Axel were ok.

Listen to all the Interstellar Bride books

I love all of the Interstellar Bride books regardless of the series, & they all flow & interact with each other. So just as a FYI: The best way to listen to all the Interstellar books (bride, cyborg, beast, virgin) is to listen to them in order of release date & book #. Do not listen to them separately solely based on the individual series because all of the series' books interact with the characters & timelines from the other books in all the different Interstellar Bride series.
