About this listen

When Stephanie and Jenny go to a murder mystery Halloween weekend at Wilderhope Manor, they're expecting fun and games. But following creaky floorboards, spooky noises and an alarming encounter in the manor's grounds, the girls begin to wonder if there's more to Wilderhope Manor than meets the eye. As they find frequent comfort in one another's arms - and their bed - will the girls discover what's causing the bumps in the night, or will they run scared?

Good quick read

If you could sum up Weekend at Wilderhope Manor in three words, what would they be?

good quick read

Which character – as performed by Xanthia Bloom – was your favorite?

I liked both characters. Xanthia did a great job narrating and making sure that the characters came alive.

Any additional comments?

Weekend at Wilderhope Manor was a good quick read. Stephanie and Jenny decide to go to a murder mystery weekend. There are many creepy things happening so the girls find comfort in each others arms. Xanthin Bloom did a great job of bringing the characters to life. I can't wait to read more by the author.

Left Me Wanting To Book A Vacation

Who was your favorite character and why?

It may surprise you but it would have to be Wilderhope Manor. I love the idea of spending Halloween at a place for a murder mystery weekend. And meeting a lot of interesting characters - other participants and any actors that help to stage my weekend.

What about Xanthia Bloom’s performance did you like?

She makes it very easy to enjoy the author's story. I may be American but I'm not going to assume that every setting is going to be in my country. Having a narrator that has an accent help with that. I don't know that I would have enjoyed the story as much if someone else had read to me.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I can't say there was a particular moment since I enjoyed the whole story. My only disappointment was that it was so short. But it's also a good thing when you don't have a lot of time but want something to distract you even if it's for a little while.

Any additional comments?

Both the author and narrator do a great job at bringing Stephanie and Jennie to life. It's almost like you are a participant during the murder mystery but also a voyeur when these two get intimate. It left me looking forward to listening to more books by Ms. Felthouse and books narrated by Ms. Bloom. They make a great combination.

Short Erotic Romance

Weekend at Wilderhope Manor by Lucy Felthouse is a lesbian erotic Halloween story that I listened to on audio narrated by Xanthia Bloom.

This is a short story about Stephanie and Jenny that go to a murder mystery Halloween weekend at Wilderhope Manor. It is a fast paced steamy romance. I felt like the story was a bit rushed and didn't really need the ghost aspect since it was such a short read. But overall it was a good erotic read.

I would recommend this book if you like lesbian erotic stories.

the story was ok not great but okay but it's what you expect from a romance novel. again the narrator is what makes this book spectacular.

Murder Mystery?

I'm ok with a sexy story that doesn't really have a plot, but this one promised one then didn't deliver. The murder mystery was non-existent. The ghostly parts were centered in the maze but even that felt thrown away. The reason I still gave it three stars was because the sex scenes were hot! These two girls can't keep their hands off of each other.

Xanthia Bloom has a lovely accent! I do wish that it didn't sound like it was recorded in a bus station, and there were moments where I heard noises in the background. Also slowing down a tick and annunciating would help get the details of the story across more.

Overall, it's great for the sex scenes and Xanthia's lovely voice, but not great for the plot.

Wonderful.

This story wastes no time getting directly to the point. The two main characters find each other insatiable and the Halloween setting takes a back seat while they...... enjoy each other's company.

It's a well-written, bite-sized story with an excellent narration to boot.
