Publisher's summary
It will take more than blind luck to turn this game around.
When Allison reunites with Todd, the pleasure of being together is quickly tempered by the pain of her family’s disappointment. And as her parents reject both her independence and her choices, Allison quickly becomes estranged from them just as she should be the happiest she’s ever been.
Though Todd has no plans of folding on Allison again, the pressure from her family is difficult to overcome. He’d like to show everyone his cards once and for all, but playing for keeps is the riskiest move of all.

I loved this series
The relationship of Todd and Allison was hot . As the series progresses you see how much he loves her . The bdsm element was hot . The budding friendship between Todd and Roger was fun and Diana was a hoot . I wouldn't mind seeing a follow up with Roger and Diana as main characters . It would be a good break from the stronghold series ! (Which is great too )

Stunning Conclusion
This is raw and sensual - as are all in this series. It is not a comfortable college "dating" story - but a story of coming into your own, exploration, and stepping outside boundaries. As a person brought up with certain expectations this is even harder. We also discover the reason for the "distance" from our male lead - and the resolution for me was quite satisfying.

Satisfying Ending 📘
***I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.*** story/Character: This series audiobook was a real quick listen, but part of me thinks the trilogy could’ve been compiled into one book instead. The story really kind of follows the hallmarks of life: graduate, date, house, marriage. The flow is predictable but the description into Allison and Todd’s daily lives is adorable. I love the Poker/game motif and thinking back, wished there were more game or bet motifs in the story after Allison and Todd’s relationship became solidified. Nevertheless, I guess the games come from how much the two challenge either other. I love the play room 😳 top notch descriptions. A lot of the conflict between Allison and her parents (and Todd thrown in the mix) is understandable and I’m satisfied with the way it’s resolved. It subtle but I think suitable for the kind of people Allison’s parents are. Part of me was glad there wasn’t any overt drama or angst of Todd trying to be accepted by Allison’s parents. Todd is a confident person so even if he left Allison the first time, he was certain she would have him back. But he knows Allison care about her family so he goes above and beyond to be a man her parents would accept so Allison can have him and her parents. He is a sweet, caring, and daring man. Narration: Victoria Mei is a solid narrator. Great sound quality and distinct personification of each character.

Great ending!
Golden Angel created a great story of sexual awakening, finding love, and in this story the love and sexual desire strengthens. I like how Angel shows how important family is to Allison. Even though she is estranged from her parents, she still wants their love. However, will Todd's efforts to bring a family back together destroy his and Allison's relationship. This has been quite an emotional journey for Allison from a spoiled rich girl to a woman who now is considerate of others.
Victoria Mei does a great job of portraying the emotions that the characters are experiencing. She gives the characters distinctive voices and brings the story to life. I enjoyed listening to her. I highly recommend this Audible book.
