Nazira was born in Kyrgyzstan, a country of beautiful breathtaking landscapes in Central Asia, which is sometimes referred to as an Asian Switzerland. She was instilled with a love of music, books and arts from an early age. Her parents took great pride in their large library of books and vinyl discs; a collection of classical and contemporary authors and composers. Their children and grandchildren were well occupied and educated because of this. Nazira remembers herself as a seven year old girl when she first picked up a pen and paper and started writing stories. Amazingly enough, she didn't speak much, if at all, until she turned three. In a manner of a joke her aunt commented on this: "She must have been thinking a lot and observing!" The child's stories developed into distinguished creative writing at school. Nazira’s works were noticed by her literature teacher, who reprimanded the girl. In the Soviet Union, teachers were trained to be submissive to its ideology and practices. Nazira dared to point out the flaws of the totalitarian regime at school, which wasn't welcomed by the system-fearing teacher. A couple of other students attempted to speak of their own discontent too, but this was also nipped in the bud. Nazira’s writing during her teenage and university years was about events of the everyday lives of herself, her family, philosophy and psychology, as well as allegories involving birds and animals as characters. The stories were rather humorous and made the readers laugh until their stomachs ached! After graduating at Kyrgyz State University, Nazira worked as a music teacher. But it was not until after she moved abroad, had a family of her own and worked in the field of naturopathy and Ayurveda, that she rediscovered her passion for writing. Under the guidance of her ethical way of living, Nazira started writing the Maxat the Magician series. What better way of educating youngsters than through her exciting adventures!
