Andrea Lytle Peet was diagnosed with ALS in 2014 at age 33, less than a year after completing a half Ironman triathlon. In four months, she went from the strongest she’d ever been to walking with a cane. Considering the life expectancy of ALS is 2-5 years, it is remarkable that Andrea has lived nine years with ALS. Even more remarkable is that in 2022 she became the first person with ALS to do a marathon in all 50 states. In addition to her memoir (with co-author Meredith Atwood), Hope Fights Back, Andrea's story is beautifully told through the documentary, Go On, Be Brave. Learn more at GoOnBeBrave.com. A majority of proceeds from both the film and the book will go to ALS research. Andrea’s mission in life is to raise awareness and money for ALS research while inspiring people to appreciate what their bodies can do. Her nonprofit, the Team Drea Foundation (TeamDrea.org), has donated one million dollars to end ALS.
