Andrea M. Polnaszek is an author, screenwriter, filmmaker, and licensed clinical social worker whose multifaceted career converges through the glory of God. She received her B.S. in Social Work from Gordon College, and her M.S. in Social Work and Certificate in Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is the author of the internationally renowned Elijah Project series, which has been translated from English into Spanish and Portuguese. Her ministry efforts continue to flourish with 500 mentors leading workshops based on Elijah Project principles in Cuba alone. Andrea and her screenwriting team were honored with a Teddy for Best Inspirational Screenplay at the 2018 MovieGuide Awards. Through her award-winning efforts as a screenwriter, filmmaker, and director, Andrea uses the power of storytelling to teach mental wellness exploring relevant topics such as family communication, bullying, and mindfulness. Her films, produced with her sister under the Boylan Sisters moniker, include Wish for Christmas, Catching Faith, Catching Faith 2, Switched, The Greatest Inheritance, and Identity Crisis. Andrea is the mother of three and enjoys quiet walks near Lake Wissota with her husband, Perry.
