Anne E. Beall is an award-winning author and social psychologist who explores the emotional undercurrents that shape our lives. She writes about the psychology of relationships—between lovers, family, friends, and pets with attitude. Her nonfiction books include Cinderella Didn’t Live Happily Ever After and Only Prince Charming Gets to Break the Rules. Her work has appeared in People Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, NPR, and more. She’s the founder of Chicago Story Press Literary Journal and Beall Research. She holds a Ph.D. from Yale, which comes in handy for overanalyzing everything. She lives in Chicago, where she writes, edits, walks a lot, and tries to convince other people that winter isn’t really that long in the Midwest.
