Anne R. Keene’s work has been featured in the New York Times, Dallas Morning News, Raleigh News & Observer, and HISTORY, and she has appeared on C-SPAN's American History channel, National World War II Museum discussions and a host of historic sports forums. She began her career on Capitol Hill and has worked in documentary film research, television, radio, and public relations, earning national awards each year for creative concepts. As a recognized voice of surviving major league players who served in WWII, Keene has spoken at the National Baseball Hall of Fame Museum in Cooperstown, major league ballparks, universities, libraries, Naval Academy alumni chapters, and baseball fan clubs nationwide. She is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, the PBS-supported Texas Our Texas, and serves on the board of the Texas Friends of Libraries & Archives Foundation. Keene is a North Carolina native and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who resides in Austin, Texas. Her website is www.annerkeene.com.
