Arianne Braithwaite Lehn is a writer, pastor, and artist who is passionate about connection. A native South Dakotan, Arianne planned on law school until God nudged her toward Taiwan where she followed a call to seminary. As an ordained minister in the PC(USA) and watercolor artist, Arianne's writing and art are all meant to express the presence, grace, and love of God in our lives. In addition to her most recent book, "Ash and Starlight: Prayers for the Chaos and Grace of Daily Life, Second Edition (Chalice Press, 2023) her work has appeared in her weekly substack (Monday Manna), her blog (Ash and Starlight), in Upper Disciplines: A Book of Daily Devotions 2018, Pause: Moments to Reflect, The Christian Century, Presbyterians Today, Horizons, These Days, as well as in musical composition. Running, yoga, being by water, playing piano, reading, painting, cooking with great background music, and soulful conversation are some of her lifelines. The sound of children laughing keeps her faith alive. Arianne lives in Chicagoland with her husband and children.
